okay, it’s time for me to finally weigh in: it’s probably a bad sign that guys are just doing sieg heils in public again

It's funny ... but not funny hah-hah ... to see Republican AGs suddenly claim not to have realized that their lawsuit claimed Section 504 was unconstitutional. This is count 3.

Is it too much to ask to want the government to stop the president from doing the illegal stuff?

How about instead of vilifying antidepressants alone, let’s use our vast national health resources to train and hire more psychiatrists, psychologists and other mental health care providers so kids and adults can get the combination of therapy and medication that’s been proven to be effective.

Today would have been my dad’s 75th birthday, and he often chose a fruity pie over cake. You’ll see him in this story. ❤️

Already happening. Thanks for your hand-wringing though. #HiFromSD

The general public does not seem to know or sometimes even care that the research institutes that do things like cure cancers and prevent environmental disasters and help us understand how our bodies work are being dismantled. Tell a friend about the impact of NSF and NIH-funded research.

Congrats to everyone who insisted they were better off four years ago -- you made it right back to the safety and security of "early COVID pandemic"

Keith Haring died of AIDS aged 31 on 16 Feb 1990. One of his last works, Unfinished Painting, was deliberately incomplete, reflecting the devastating, unquantifiable loss to the arts due to AIDS. #LGBTplusHistoryMonth

Without downloading any new pictures, where are you mentally

Thank you to everyone who has joined the resistance! Our ranks grow stronger every day.

Flu hospitalizations are way up, what could go wrong (actually a lot please get vaccinated)

Too bad a bunch of our national (CDC) epidemiology intelligence service officers were let go yesterday … they could have helped 🤷‍♀️

This is not a good combination of trending topics 😬

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

It was called Gulf of Mexico for a reason. Mexico En 1794. #HistoryMatters

The termination of 850 Indian Health Service physicians, nurses, and dentists will have a grave impact on access to care for millions of Native Americans. Upholding our treaty obligations is not optional.

We won’t disappear just because you change a website.

Anyway here's how it played in the press last time anything went this far, just for reference

At the stonewall monument rn

Trump’s latest executive order (that was no doubt written by psychopath RFK Jr.) goes after antidepressants. As someone whose life was saved by them, you will pry my prozac from my cold dead hands. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

I am going to be so pissed if--after everything--I do, in fact, die of dysentery.

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

via @cnn.com: “Trans women played a key role in the Stonewall uprising, including activists Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, who would become pioneers of the nascent gay liberation movement.”

THEY ARE DEFUNDING MEDICAID AND BUYING CYBERTRUCKS WITH THE MONEY. Dems stop saying "uh he promised he would lower the cost of living" and take the layup

WSJ sub: “Indian Partition went smoothly enough, right? Will try to remember to check this before publishing.”

👏 👏 👏

Face Eating Leopards Eat Faces. Voters shocked. Republicans Love Trump’s Spending Cuts. Just Not in Their States. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/u...

“It’s illegal. They know it’s illegal. But they’re doing it anyway.”

Plus Blueland is already taken by a company that makes eco-friendly cleaning products. Green, if you will. 🍃

in case you need dog and cat photos rn

JUST IN: Federal judges orders HHS, CDC, and FDA to restore “by no later than 11:59 pm” today their websites and datasets to pre-January 30th status. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

not to freak anyone out or anything but I’ve been reading the Anatomy of Fascism by Robert Paxton and I think the concept of fascism as a model of government featuring a normative state and a prerogative state is potentially going to be useful for thinking about DOGE

Just gonna leave this here.

Someone at the American Bar Association ate their Wheaties this morning.

The American Bar Association has just called upon every attorney, regardless of their political views, to join them & stand up for the rule of law & at minimum insist that our government "follow the law." Every lawyer has an ethical responsibility to do so. www.americanbar.org/news/abanews...

1. EXCLUSIVE Today, the NSA is planning a "Big Delete" of websites and internal network content that contain any of 27 banned words, including "privilege," "bias," and "inclusion," a NSA source tells Popular Information. The massive purge is creating chaos, taking down "mission-related" work

Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not exaggerating when I say I would like a personal, handwritten apology from every pundit who barfed out a dozen "the left wants to change the way you talk!" op-eds based on non-mandatory guidelines in obscure PDFs.

1. Action 2. Creativity Love this lesson from the Finns.

Musk reportedly spent $40M on #Superbowl ads calling #USAID wasteful. Here's how we would've spent that $$: Purchased HIV treatment from U.S. pharma companies to keep 1M pp alive for 1 year: Tell Congress #saveforeignaid and #standwithUSAID
