Mind Switched Off

The Wanderers (1979) For me, it's the quintessential early 60's leather jacket gang type of film that romanticizes that era down in the heart of New York. Great film by Philip Kaufman

RAK Road Crossing

First attempt at Monti e mare pasta (mountain and sea). Not a very good one.

Pedro Páramo (2024) Enjoyed the directing, cinematography and the all overall feel of this moody, atmospheric, mysterious and mystical film but, I have to say, that I did struggle to grasp and comprehend the story as it very complex and the subtitles on the service was very fast.

The old and new

Blink Twice (2024) A premise that have been made many times with different storylines from The Stepford Wives and as recent as Don't Worry Darling. Unfortunately, it introduces ominous music even before anything happens while presenting forced weirdness

Sun sets in RAK

Alien: Romulus (2024) Surprisingly an entertaining sequel that could stand alone and manages to keep you engaged, creeped out and on the edge of your seat without being too far fetched, complex in its story nor seemingly repetitive whilst still maintaining the Alien signature.

Lights Are On

The Teachers' Lounge (Das Lehrerzimmer) (2023) Good directing and performances in this German film but my issue with it is the story. Not only I did not buy it but also I felt it to be very forced to push a narrative while the kids in the school seemed out of character

The Lost Children (Los Niños Perdidos) (2024) A heartfelt documentary about the children lost after a plane crash in Columbia. The footage a mixture between a National Geographic style nature and documentary live images while telling its story.

Dog Man (2025) Based on the children's book, this is film is fun and entertaining and most likely will please its target audience. The storyline is engaging with good quality animation and good talented cast.

Yellow Building

Al Manar

Wonka (2023) Even though the film is veered towards kids, I still found it to be highly entertaining, even Hugh Grant was funny in his role. This is no surprise coming from Paul King who is a master in storytelling and goes all out in the films he makes.

Bushes

28 Weeks Later (2007) Even with a talented cast, this film is dragged down by its weak storyline and weak premise to launch the sequel that gets worse in the second half. Resulting in a less than impressive follow up even though the directing is decent.

Side Road

Night Courier (مندوب الليل) (2023) Even with its nice concept,I found it hard to enjoy it. I struggled most with its pacing especially early on. The story, for me, felt all over the place as it seemed to have sought some inspiration from Breaking Bad where the main character becomes bad

Spiky Turtle

Saw X (2023) The film takes a different turn in this where it brings back some of original characters while it plays with the antagonist and protagonist roles.
