If intelligent design is real, how come menstrual cramps don’t strengthen your ab muscles? #deepthoughts

Every syllable of book coverage in regular media is vanishingly precious and rare. To see AI slop stealing book coverage in actual print is unspeakably depressing.

Talked THE EDUCATION OF KIA GREER with @lindaholmes.bsky.social in DC at @eastcitybooks.bsky.social and had a BLAST. New York, I’ll see you tonight for my convo with @caseymcquiston.bsky.social!

@dustwrites.bsky.social Hey Dustin! This is super out of the blue, but I have a Survivor question for you and I'm not sure the best way to ask since you're not open to dms. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Quite literally a dream come true that Meg Cabot even knows who I AM

THE EDUCATION OF KIA GREER is officially in bookstores across North America. I hope you love her even 1/1000000000000th as much as I do.

ONE DAY MORE... before THE EDUCATION OF KIA GREER comes out and you fall head over heels in love with Cass and Kia (couple name #Cassiokia)!!! @alannabennett.bsky.social

A good goal for America is to stop being quite so on the nose as material for the next Carl Hiaasen novel.

I actually love Internet scolds when they’re scolding something hyper-specialized I know little about

Putting on my Nostradamus hat: AI content in social media will hit a tipping point that drives people back to IRL interactions. Its utter shittiness may be the only thing that can save us from ourselves.

I felt this deep in my bones

You guys don’t need to try to convince me that any form of AI has merit. It doesn’t. It is boring and half-assed. I am fine getting by with human brain power. If the world nears its end and AI has one hater left, good news! I am still alive.

This is very niche, but I just made the most amazing discovery about a favorite book from childhood! I won my copy of THE GRAND ESCAPE by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor in a third grade raffle and must have read it a dozen times. My stepson loves it too—so much that he wants to buy a copy for his friend.

Now THIS is a Jenny Han Cinematic Universe full-circle moment. XO KITTY's brilliant, talented, radiant @reganaliyah IS the voice of the EDUCATION OF KIA GREER audiobook! She absolutely nails it, and I couldn't be happier. More on my substack & instagram!

There are so many people earnestly doing good and beautiful things in this country—artists, teachers, scientists, public servants. Sometimes I feel like my heart is exploding to see all their efforts so carelessly dismantled and stripped for parts

As a book editor and lover of words, I am affronted!

I keep thinking about the oblation board in Philip Pullman’s HIS DARK MATERIALS, and how they targeted the college to crush opposition. Seems like it’s not enough for this administration to send us back to the depression; they want to send us to the dark ages.

It's hard to articulate why, but Blue Origin is 2025's equivalent of Gal Gadot singing "Imagine"

I’ve long said space is none of my damn business and the Blue Origin stunt has only solidified my resolve.

Tidal thought I might enjoy a playlist premised on “National poetry month” and I’ve never felt more insufferable
