Children that young are too small for typical rifles and are better suited to crew served weapons which will also improve their ability to work as a team

Sure - anecdotally I have not had success with this. Had the same belief as you previously, but IMO much better things to spend time on than trying to convince nazis to have empathy. If they come around on their own, great. If not, fuck em.

Dunno, implying that their beliefs are worthy of debate lends them legitimacy they do not have. I have compassion for these people but the point comes when the responsibility to ‘grow’ is entirely on them.

That’s a fair take, and agree on the airport

Nobody in congress steered the plane into the helicopter, sure - they merely caused additional flights to be in bravo airspace at any given time at an already overcrowded and understaffed airport.
You can probably blame hegseth for the helicopter being somewhere it shouldn’t, I’ll grant you.

This bill *was* negligence, it took a bad situation and made it worse for no good reason. The two independents you mention being sanders and king are democrats for all intents and purposes - both voted yes regardless.

There were exactly 4 votes against this bill. You can view the results here: www.senate.gov/legislative/...
So 4 senators maybe care if you live or die.

Seems it became this eventually - sponsored by a republican funnily enough, seems bipartisanship still exists as long as it’s for the convenience of the politicians. Passed the senate 88-4

If you don’t hold the people who make the laws accountable for bad ones, they’ll keep making them. It was corruption to make their commute shorter, nothing more. I don’t see how this is difficult or controversial. If you or I were responsible for an incident like that we’d be in prison.

Were there a merciful god he would have been on the helicopter.

If I hand someone a gun and they use it to shoot someone, and then encourage them to shoot someone, I am culpable.
Democrats created a bill that would make dangerous conditions even worse, then passed it, and people died because of it. “Who is responsible” matters, they should be held accountable.

So we agree that it’s wrong to say that this is solely the fault of republicans, democrats are equally culpable, moreso for introducing the bill in the first place.
comment in response to
post
Thats great but the post was “wrong, it was republicans” when it demonstrably was not. It was passed when democrats had a majority in the senate. Plenty of democrats voted for it and Biden signed it, democrats had more than one chance to kill this bill.

Dog the bill in question was proposed by a democrat.
