A little “behind the scenes” of my carving process. It is messy at first, but then I work at smoothing everything out so it looks as seamless as I can get it. I use the same hook tool to remove the clay as to smooth it out. Then a little water on my finger does the rest. #pottery #potteryprocess

This little wheel thrown bowl I made is just the right size for a little treat, so I hand carved a party mouse inside and underglaze the colours, followed by a clear glaze on top. I might make another “party mouse dish”…? #pottery #handmadeart #art #madeincanada #vancouverislandpottery

I’m super happy with the tumblers I picked up from the kiln at the studio yesterday!! This was my first time using these glazes so I didn’t know how they’d turn out. This is 1/5 tumblers. I made this on the wheel, and hand carved the owl in relief on the side. Glaze: #Amaco glacier celadon
