I want to comment on this because I feel like this is a bit of a simplistic take on the issue. It's a multi-faceted, complicated issue where trauma doesn't play as big of a part as he frames it...at least, not directly. This 🧵 is going to get into some unfun topics so this is your chance to mute.

I watched the Elon Musk Path of Exile livestream, and my biggest takeaway from it was that he simply does not enjoy playing games, he seemingly views Gamer™ as a status symbol and is going through the motions, how badly he plays is immaterial to the fact there's no joy in it for him, he's miserable.

Idk who needs to hear this, but it's actually not normal for your partner to yell at you. Even if they're really stressed out right now. Even if you fucked up. Even if they never hit you. If they can't communicate without yelling, then this isn't a good relationship for either of you.
