Exactly why I've been writing, podcasting, and damn near screaming about using the right language. The mainstream media is failing us SO badly right now. Stop. Calling. This. Shit. DEI. This is (re)segregation. This is racial purging. Cleansing Black people from positions of power.

1/2 Recent US State Department budget cuts have unfortunately also impacted non-profits working on internet freedom. The Proton Foundation has stepped in to support organizations such as Free Press Unlimited, Freedom House, and Tor, which are impacted, but these organizations need more support.

Got some old tech from @marckskier.bsky.social so I’ve been messing with #FOSS on it. Ripped some old CDs to FLAC and put them on an iPod running rockbox firmware. It’s been a fun project. Been using Ubuntu on a MacBook to manage the library. All I needed was a new battery for the laptop.

Today multiple students were killed and injured in a shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville. School shootings have been on the rise over the last two decades, rising 124% in the 2020–21 to 2021–22 school years.

Finally got a portfolio together. My old portfolio I built in with Jekyll on git pages was getting rusty. I decided to try #nextjs this time around with mdx pages and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Love that I have interactive content and more control over theming. kingdrewsea.vercel.app
