Not content with purchasing the presidency, Elon Musk now wants to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court as well. His PAC just pumped $1M into supporting anti-choice right-wing extremist Brad Schimel. Wisconsin — don't become Musk's latest acquisition! Vote @crawfordforwi.bsky.social.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Read through, including responses.

NEW: Public health teams are being gutted by Trump's purge of federal employees, imperiling crucial, lifesaving work. "We are hollowing out our government in a way that is going to hurt people and is going to get people killed." w/ @deldeib.bsky.social: www.propublica.org/article/trum...

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

BRAVO to Maine Governor Janet Mills for slapping petty tyrant trump in the face with her calmly defiant "see you in court." THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE. 🔥🔥🔥

MISSISSIPPI’s legislature being declared “not a public body” reminds us of how the Tennessee leg won’t tell us how much taxpayer money Speaker Sexton is blowing on troopers despite our FOIA request: “Not a governmental agency for the purposes of the public records act” 🤔

There are two people in Congress-the chairs of the Senate & House Appropriations Committees-who have enormous power over the illegal impoundment of funds appropriated by Congress, which is sowing chaos across the US. They need to be relentlessly contacted at their offices, in person and by phone. 1/

It's no coincidence that Musk's companies are soaring in value as the regulatory agencies that were investigating or suing them are being gutted. The DOGE agenda isn't about "efficiency" — it's about Musk freeing himself from any accountability so he can line his pockets.

Mark my words—He is going to try to shut down mail-in voting. When he does, we will sue and we will win. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

I was naive. I thought he'd need an actual Enabling Act. Instead, he has an enabling political class and press.

"Behind the seemingly scatter-shot opening acts of his second administration, legal analysts see a common goal: to test a once-fringe legal theory which asserts that the president has unlimited power to control the actions of the four million people who make up the executive branch." --Jacob Knutson

Protests are taking place all over the country tonight against cuts to vital federal services. Here in Washington, people are marching to SpaceX’s offices demanding Musk be ousted from the government.

VERY important we stop the SAVE act.

Streisand effect these weird dicks.

New: DOGE's spending has been secret. No longer. My colleagues have uncovered it. www.propublica.org/article/doge...

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame. The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

The rush so many nonprofits are making to remove any implication on their web sites that they've ever cared about diversity, equity & inclusion, without any government agency asking them to do so, is stunning to behold. DON'T comply in advance!

🗣️ @aoc.bsky.social out fighting for the people & federal workers: “Every day our job is to wake up and say ‘what can I do today?’ — There is no act too small. Every action matters.” 🇺🇸

1. AUDIO On Monday in Fairbanks, Congressman Nick Begich (R-AK) told a constituent laid off from a job with the federal gov't that there was nothing he could do to stop budget cuts imposed by DOGE and Elon Musk Begich said he was "not in a position to approve or deny the cuts"

We are doomed to relive every stupid thing about the 80s. Only this it’s not just the mistakes of the 1980s corporate greed. It’s also the 1880s post reconstruction environment, and the 1780s love of slavery. :(

I don't know who needs to hear this, but the original American patriots fought a fucking Revolutionary War to liberate ourselves from the rule of a king. This ain't the flex he thinks it is.
