I have no words for the dissonance I feel. On the same week as the NYT runs cover for the terrible Skrmetti decision by claiming trans people "reached too far" for rights. And now this regime is banning trans people from fertility treatments. Tell me it's not a genocide.

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes. You can find and call your senator here and ask them to do that. Please share as well.

The thing I wish I could explain to more people is that the damage done to the federal government will take decades to undo. All of the experts fired and dismissed from agencies will move on, scientists will emigrate, people will disperse, institutional knowledge will be lost, yes.

“I wish ministers would stop staying it brings ‘clarity’, because it doesn’t,” one MP said. “It just opens up a huge legal can of worms. And then the EHRC just put rocket boosters under the uncertainty… …There appears to be limited confidence in the organisation and its chair from some MPs”

It's messy, it's furious, it's hand-scrawled on a forgotten prescription pad. It's also scripture for this moment. Trans and intersex medical care. "The Big Beautiful Bill." The Good Samaritan. Republican Jesus. open.substack.com/pub/kintsugi...

UK Supreme Court Definition of "Woman" Does Not Alter Irish Position. Ireland has a different legislative regime to the United Kingdom, both in the context of equality legislation and gender recognition legislation. “A "one size fits all" approach to DEI may give rise to legal risk”

Reposting this with some edits. I took out the phrasing that upset folks and added a note about the weight of certain words in scripture. Thanks to those who spoke. I hope this version keeps the point clear and the conversation open. kintsugighost.substack.com/p/please-all...

1. I reach a lot of readers from a big variety of political backgrounds... and one of the most common points of contention I see centers around transgender sports bans. In my latest story, I make the moderate case against such bans. Subscribe to support my journalism.

The Trump HHS approach to transgender youth is not "greater emphasis on psychtherapy." It is "ONLY psychotherapy," with the explicit goal of making trans youth no longer transgender. It IS conversion therapy. Washington post is an absolute right wing rag at this point.

This sermon was recorded in exile. It contains one testimony in the face of rising darkness. It is not fiction. It is prophecy. May those with ears hear it. May those with power feel it. May those with faith know what silence costs. open.substack.com/pub/kintsugi...

I use apostate the way it feels in exile—not as a rejection of God, but as a reflection of how I’ve been treated by the Church. I didn’t renounce the faith. The faith tried to renounce me.

Sometimes people won’t hear you—not because you were unclear, but because your collar, your tradition, or your history says “harm” before your words can say “healing.” That’s part of preaching. And part of carrying the weight of the Church’s past while trying to shape its future.

Humiliating and cruel attacks on trans people is central to Trump's admin, and it's even worse for vulnerable trans people who are in prisons. "All people in custody have a constitutional right to basic health care, including trans people.” www.dallasobserver.com/news/north-t...

Instead of complaining that the Pope is "woke," how about looking in the mirror? If "those people" are woke, and "that group" is woke and the sun and moon and stars and oceans are "woke," maybe...just maybe, the problem isn't "woke?" Maybe the problem is one's self being an ignorant little bitch?

1. The list of expert bodies condemning the Trump administration's pseduoscientific trans "report" is growing. They include the AAP, APA, experts at Yale, Fenway Health, Whitman Walker, and dozens of others. The latest roundup from Mira Lazine. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Some say if you repeat the word tranny 3 times in the bathroom mirror, Nancy Mace will appear and inspect your genitals.
