Art should be funded like science. To properly fund art, you fund failure. Funding failure will give you occasional excellence. Creating any art with the aim of it being popular enough to make money, will give you consistent mediocrity. Arists need funding to play and fail because that's the process

Watching the verdicts in the Gisèle Pelicot trial come in live on the BBC News page is sobering. So many names. Guilty all.

If I ever have to be paid through a university PAYE system again it’ll be too soon. Why are they so un-user/ freelance friendly?!? Probably feeling extra moany due to submitting self assessment today. Send help. And gin.

This has been playing on my mind all week. My died from a horrid inherited terminal illness, that she battled with for 4 years. She shared multiple times that had assisted dying been an option she would have taken it, so to maintain her dignity and save us the heartache. However my Dad is disabled.
