I do things often and will occasionally talk about them here in vaguely specific terms.

Over the weekend, I finished ‘Eighteen’ by Alice Loxton. This was such a delightful pick ‘n’ mix of UK history, shaped in a refreshing way. Each chapter leads you into a different time and life. A really interesting read with lots of potential for further research. #booksky

It's already that time of year again: we're so excited to announce our #JingleJam2025 charity partners! We can't wait to go live and support these brilliant causes that make the world a better place for children and young people this December. Here are your 2025 charities! 🧵

Woke up with a really important question. Will Cooking Mama be on Switch 2? I loved that series on Nintendo DS.

Just finished ‘Before Your Memory Fades’ by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. Another brilliant read with heartfelt stories. This series has definitely influenced how I have seen some recent difficult times and I am grateful for these characters and their lives. Highly recommend! #booksky

Just finished Tales from the Cafe by Toshikazu Kawaguchi (again through tears). I am loving this series and very grateful to have excellent libraries from which I can borrow these gemstones of books. Another warm address to difficult and complex topics. Highly recommended! #booksky

I want to hear the maggots’ side of the story. How did they get there? How do they survive? Are they vibin’? Aurora at Wembley tonight, pure joy. A gig of love, beauty and maggots.

A beautiful night sky after a wonderful sunny day. Rest easy and take care of yourself. #nightsky #photography

Just finished reading (through tears) ‘Before the Coffee Gets Cold’ by Toshikazu Kawaguci. This book is a blessing and spectacularly written. A very simple concept drawn with incredible depth. I loved reading this and would highly recommend. This is one for my bookshelf post library. #booksky

Read The Great Gatsby as an Easter bank holiday treat. I wasn’t fortunate to study it when I was younger, but having the freedom to just enjoy reading it is perfect. Very charming and easy enough to read both superficially and otherwise. Gorgeous description and recognisable characters. #booksy

After a 13 week waiting list, I finally read Intermezzo by Sally Rooney. A mature read which poses many questions along the way, making it demand some serious time from your mental schedule. I really enjoyed my time with this book and I would recommend it for an adult book club. #booksky

Excited for more info to be dropped about Flesh and Bone later. Thanks to No Rolls Barred for the heads up. 😉 For those who are into Blood on the Clocktower, be sure to tune into ThePandemoniumInstitute stream on Twitch later today to find out more about it! www.twitch.tv/thepandemoni...

There are people born after the GameCube that are buying houses, starting families, making their lives their own. I’m still just trying to get a GameCube. Own your lifetime pathway, I guess.

Just finished reading The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn. An impactful story of childhood and wartime, telling the story familiar to many who have visited the large estates of England. I felt some parts were drawn out but really enjoyed the fullness of character and depth of feeling. #booksky

The Longest Johns on BBC Radio 3 right now? Sign me up and tune me in.

Who else saw the glowing orb of the moon last night? So bright! Had me dancing on a moon shadow 💃🏽 Here’s a few of the pics I took last night on my usual stargazing walk with my phone. Have a lovely day everyone! #moon #stargazing #phonephotography #nightsky

Gorgeous colours in the sunset tonight. Although the sky was 80% cloud, the vivd pinks and oranges were gorgeous on the horizon. #sunset #sky #phonephotography

Just finished reading Harriet Constable’s debut book ‘The Instrumentalist’. This is a powerful piece which shows how the form of power imbalance has changed, but the substance of its existence has not. Highly recommend this if you love historical fiction, music or art in general. #booksky

Last night at Runefest, someone got 120 Necromancy and then their max cape at the LAN party. Pretty neat. Very cool. #Runescape #Runefest

Watched the sunset knowing this is one of the final days for many years we will have Mercury, Venus, Mars, Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter in the sky at the same time. As you can see, it was too bright to get Mercury and Neptune, but Venus is stealthily visible. Just. #sunset #Venus #phonephotography

Just finished reading ‘How to Age Disgracefully’ by Clare Pooley on Libby. I loved this book! Those familiar with ‘The 100 Year Old Man’ series by Jonas Jonasson will find this equally as charming and funny. I loved how it navigates some of the tough stereotypes in our society with care. #booksky

Look at this cloud friend. Just chilling in a pastel sea. #sunset #phonephotography

Last night I saw a cloud that tried to create an image of the UK if Wales should attach itself to Ireland. Loved walking with a clear(ish) sky. Managed to actually see a few of my favourites sights in the sky. #nightsky #cloud #stars #phonephotography

Beautiful sunset today with a variety of colours coming through. Hope you have a lovely weekend all. #sunset #landscape #phonephotography

I went out last night to take cloudy star pictures. I got distracted by helping toads cross a semi busy road. It is what it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Here’s a sunset from the archives instead. Have a fab Friday all. #sunset #phonephotography #pastel

The 100 hour cap on Twitch is hilarious. Do they even want content creators on their platform anymore?

Last night was the first break in endless cloud for a week and the moon absolutely made it worth the walk in freezing temperatures. It took a bit of practice for me to get a photo I liked, as I have myself and my iPhone as equipment. I’m not a great tripod. 😂 #nightsky #moon #phonephotography

Last night I finished reading ‘Happiness Falls’ by Angie Kim and wow. I loved this book. So well written/edited and is definitely a book for thinkers. I also appreciated the level of research and care that went into creating such an interesting piece. Recommended 💯 #booksky #thriller #libby

The sky has been the same grey colour for four days now. I miss the sunrises, sunsets and stargazing. Instead I get excited to see a slight variant on the shade of grey.

It is Civ VII day! I would normally take the day off and enjoy the day playing the game that with consume thousands of hours of my life. However, other pressures call and that’s chill because what I give now, I can take later (and then spend a pj day playing my little games). 👾👩🏻‍💻

Recently finished re-reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. A story in two parts which charmed its way into my heart the more I read it and then absolutely smashed it to smithereens by the end. If you didn’t make time in your youth to read it, do it now most certainly. #booksky #classics

Good morning! Lovely clear skies today. Here’s a pic from last night’s frosty stargazing (so cold!). We have Mars, Jupiter, Gemini, Orion, the Pleiades and a lovely little moon halo. Uranus is also there, but a little too shy to show. Have a lovely day! #nightsky #phonephotography #stargazing

The sunset was gorgeous today, some real oil painting moments! Here’s one of my favourite snaps of the 45 mins process. You can see the moon and Venus (just about!) poking through to say hi. #sunset #nightsky #phonephotography

Seeing everyone’s photos of the moon’s conjunction with Venus is giving me such joy. Especially photos from those just there to enjoy the beauty of it. I don’t have such a photo, but here’s a nice cloud I saw around lunar new year. I thought it somewhat dragon-like. #nightsky #phonephotography

The weather yesterday was challenging to say the least. At least I managed to peep at Venus through a window.

Managed to 100% Sticky Business. This game been a lifesaver for me. It has actively lowered my heart rate when I have been ill and boosted my creativity. Lovely cosy game about making stickers and selling them. Very low stakes, no timer and perfect for those who enjoy wholesome, cosy games.

Just finished stargazing for 2 hours when I only meant to pop out for milk. It was super cloudy, so leaving photo selection for tomorrow morning. In the meantime, here’s the only pic of today’s sunset I have. #sunset #phonephotography #photography #sky

Spent my morning finishing ‘The Murder Game’ by Tom Hindle. A fun, easy read with a laid back approach to the classic murder mystery story. A good read for those who enjoy getting the killer early and watching the characters discover the answers. #booksky #library #murdermystery

Lovely to catch the sun rise and see the moon disappear this morning. Look at the pretty colours! POV you’re sitting in bed and the sun threatens to blind you despite your best efforts. #phonephotography #sun #colours

Amongst the stars today, you may have spotted no less than 7 planets! Neptune evaded my phone camera, I think. However, you should be able to spot Saturn under Venus, Mars hanging out by Gemini and Jupiter outshining Uranus (which is to the right of the star cluster right of Jupiter). #astrology
