Here's everything I've done so far on broligarchy, all in one place, starting with my Inauguration Day interview on @thedailyshow.com with Jon Stewart, through multiple BlueSky threads on the subject, some other interviews & a couple articles in @theatlantic.com. 1/9 www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvCm...

I want to tell you a story. In 2015, I was in the small Lithuanian city of Panevežys, standing with the locals, watching a military parade. But this was no ordinary parade, because marching alongside the Lithuanian troops were our American allies.🧵1/17

⚡️🇩🇪🇺🇸 German Foreign Minister Baerbock threatens the U.S. with a severing of ties over Trump’s remarks on Zelensky and Ukraine. "We will increase pressure on the Americans to make them realize they have a lot to lose if they stop supporting Europe's liberal democracies," Baerbock stated.

“A key finding is that tactical drones are inflicting roughly two-thirds of Russian losses…twice as effective as every other weapon in the Ukr arsenal put together…remarkable…for weapons which did not officially exist in the Ukr mil at start of the war” www.forbes.com/sites/davidh...

My new video titled 'How Elon Musk And The Paypal Mafia Seized Power In The US' is out on youtube! youtu.be/8xRM5S4O8Zk?...

Trump calling Zelensky a dictator, claiming he has a 4% approval rating is pure nonsense. Here's what research by leading Ukrainian and Western academics shows. Read the press release and share widely! @oonuch.bsky.social @gwendolynsasse.bsky.social www.manchester.ac.uk/about/news/t...

I keep wondering exactly that. And it leads me to consider the possibility that they are giving in on purpose. They want to partner with russia to pillage together.

Watching the news does not give me the impression that people understand number 3.

NEW: Who is running DOGE? Don't ask its employees, because they haven't got a clue. Apparently, neither does the White House. More on the internal USDS/DOGE confusion over leadership here: www.wired.com/story/doge-e...

If you are a federal worker or have insight into DOGE, please reach out. We can speak anonymously. You can contact me securely on Signal at makenakelly.32

NEW: A White House official's sworn statement that Elon Musk isn't technically in charge of DOGE has added to the confusion at the US DOGE Service, where workers say they have no idea who the DOGE Administrator, ie their boss, actually is. This is from @makenakelly.bsky.social

🇪🇺 EU countries are preparing a military aid package for Ukraine worth at least €6B, potentially rising to €10B. The package could include 1.5M artillery shells & air defense systems. It's set to be unveiled before a European commissioners' visit to Kyiv on Feb 24. www.politico.eu/article/ukra...

Only a Trumper could think abandoning Europe for a decaying kleptocracy will offer the U.S. historic economic opportunities.

If Europe wants to be taken seriously, be serious: 1. Send a permanent team of military advisors & trainers to #Ukraine 2. Commit to sending peacekeeping troops in future 3. Seize the 200Bn€ of Russian assets in the EU to finance 🇺🇦 defense 4. Announce these steps now. #Paris

Inside a Russia-linked propaganda push to undercut Germany’s support for Ukraine, Reuters reports reut.rs/4hGNP6W

My bet: There wont be any peace agreement in Ukraine during 2025. Ukraine will not accept one without security guarantees and Russia will not accept one with security guarantees. Peace will come only after Russia lose either on the battlefield or when their home front cracks wide open.

Awful: Internal USAID memo instructs employees to refrain from talking to the media about cuts in assistance to the most vulnerable or they may get fired, WaPo reports. Trumpworld knows this is a big political problem for them. Keep the focus on it. New piece: newrepublic.com/article/1915...

When I heard Musk say this on Tuesday, my assumption was that it was a programming issue. Because I can code and have written to databases and because I am familiar with other examples of default values being misinterpreted. Yet somehow Musk isn't.

It’ll be somewhat amusing when the Trump administration realises that if they want to completely wash their hands of the consequences of the peace deal they think they’re negotiating and leave all responsibility to Europe, Europeans might disagree with the terms. This is not how anything works

Today feels like a Feb 2022 deja vu when the story had broken that putin plans to install a puppet in Ukr and most thought that's totally possible. I was going blue in the face explaining Ukr won't accept/tolerate a puppet. Today's rant: Ukr won't accept a bad deal just because Trump wants them to.

Listen, Broligarchy is not some cute synonym for oligarchy. It's genuinely different & WAY more dangerous. I'm a sociologist who's been studying the ultra-rich globally for 17 yrs, entering their world as an offshore wealth mgr. Published 2 books abt them. 🧵Broligarchs are distinct in 3 ways:
