Caveat Emptor, 'murika.

Just bought a 2025-2029 calendar to count down to the end of this insanity. It will be great to cross off every day, make notes about the most egregious acts every day, etc. When I feel like I have no control over anything, this will give me something...

This! www.npr.org/2024/12/12/n...

People came here, some for new opportunities, some to flee, some as slaves, some as punishment. The indigenous people fed them and showed them how to live here, and have died for their kindness, from new sicknesses, and were then pushed out of their homes. And now... 2024. Happy Thanksgiving?

Today, I have been intentional in focusing on things I can actually control vs things that cause near catatonic panic/fear/anxiety over which I have absolutely no control. It's helped a lot. I'm significantly less exhausted and depressed.

When 8+ coworkers sit in a 14x14 office room, with one door and no ventilation, and the shift changes and another 8+ coworkers share those same spaces, and one gets sick but comes to work, and then management is asking why people are suddenly calling off work... hmm, a total mystery.

And a fluffy cloud with feet!

Cuddle buddies on a cold morning

I am so very much enjoying the Bluesky experience! It's great to see pro-democracy people talking about facts and science and stuff and things and all. While the country spins into the Stranger Things 'upside down', we can come together here and figure out a game plan to stop the spin.

Today, November 19, 2024, I got stuff done! After many months of paralyzing anxiety, fear, then hopefulness, then excitement, then crushing despondency and rage, with getting almost nothing else done in my life, today I planted tulip bulbs for the spring. Yay me.

@marcelias.bsky.social, I hope you have seen the Stephen Spoonamore's Duty to Warn letter about the election results? substack.com/home/post/p-...

I've spent many days reflecting (aka gasping in shock, crying, shouting to the wind, suspiciously glaring at my fellow Americans, mumbling to myself in a corner). Today, I am returning to Hope. Hope is an action word. 'Rebellions are built on hope'. Rogue One-A Star Wars Story. Go do some hope today

Good evening. First post on Bluesky, this Sunday, November 17. I'm ready for the popcorn and Schadenfreude. I'm somewhat torn between letting the people experience what they voted in vs fighting for every inch. It's a conundrum.
