Days 35 and 36 of #the100dayproject were a carousel flamingo and a Greater Yellowlegs wading. The carousel in particular was a lot of fun to draw!

One third of the way through #the100dayproject and I’m still enjoying these birds. Day 33 was Great Blue Herons and Day 34 was a Flamingo with flowers.

After ten birds with red on them I’ve switched to long-legged birds. The one on the left is imaginary and the one on the right is a black-necked stilt. They were days 31 and 32 of #the100dayproject

Days 29 and 30 of #the100dayproject was a pair of very different cardinals!

Days 27 and 28 of #the100dayproject were the Scarlet Tanager, followed by an American Robin. The Robin looks a bit unhappy, probably wants to migrate to Canada.

On Day 25 of #the100dayproject I drew a pair of bluebirds. Then on Day 26, I couldn’t resist another bunny. It is holding a stuffed bird, though.

Days 23 and 24 of #the100dayproject are a red-winged blackbird and a hairy woodpecker. The woodpecker is a frequent visitor to my bird feeders.

On Days 21 and 22 of #the100dayproject I moved on to birds with red on them. First some cardinals followed by a house finch.

Behind on posting for #the100dayproject because I was traveling, but I did keep up with the drawing. Switched from gouache to a small set of Inktense pencils to make the work easier to fit in. Here are Days 19 and 20.

Days 17 and 18 of #the100dayproject are a ruddy duck swimming and a mallard spreading his wings.

Paid a visit to Bunny Yaga’s bathroom on Day 16 of #the100dayproject

A pair of wood ducks for Day 15 of #the100dayproject

Still feeling ducky on Days 13 and 14 of #the100dayproject

Days 11 and 12 of #the100dayproject are just ducky.

From Day 10 of #the100dayproject2025

Days 8 and 9 of #the100dayproject The catbird in the second picture is one of my favorite birds. They like to follow me around the garden and chat.

Days 6 and 7 of #the100dayproject finds bunnies playing with an emu and garden ornaments swaying above seedlings.

Days 4 and 5 of #the100dayproject

Birds from days 2 and 3 of #the100dayproject2025

Started this year’s 100 day project. Going to be exploring birds a bit. Using gouache to start, but that might change. Excited to see what everyone else creates!

Anyone who’s stolen secrets in the last twenty years was small potatoes compared to this crew. Traitors the whole damn lot!

Happy Groundhog Day, Happy Imbolc, and Happy (and educational) Black History Month.

This is Knight. He’s my best boy, I call him my Knight in fuzzy armor. He’s around 15 years old.
