This is fascism.

I've made the mistake to start watching Handmaid's Tale, which is filmed in my hometown, Toronto. It makes the threat of U.S. Facism look very real & frightening indeed. And just a few yrs ago, it was simply entertainment...

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

Dog training was cancelled. Wind & rain blow against windows. Should be out getting stuff done. Instead I'm under the duvet w/ the dogs & drinking coffee like I have nothing at all to do. Stuff can wait.

Boundaries. Another call w/ my therapist, who I suspect wanted to shake me & say, "where are yr boundaries?" Or maybe I said that to myself. The heavy lifting of healing work is never done. So how is YOUR Friday night?

In the celtic world, days begin in darkness. The dark is a sacred place & a sacred time of creation. I like this. I feel like I have permission to rest and dream during these long nights. It reduces the pressure I put on myself to be always on ❤️

Finished reading Dot Jasckson's Refuge tonight. *sigh* An entire thesaurus couldn't provide enough adjectives to describe how much I loved it. My best read of the 2020s so far. 10 out of 10.
