Morgen actie. Als de plannen niet worden ingetrokken gaan we richting stakingen. Nog nooit was de actiebereidheid zo groot.

My coauthors and I each had experiences of not knowing at all what to ask for with a job offer so we did a survey of what folks have asked for and wrote a piece on what is commonly negotiated for in job offers in assistant professor positions in political science. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Great data visualization content from Andy Kirk @visualisingdata.com for those teaching statistics and data science!

Gains and losses for the PVV (source: Ipsos/NOS)

No way to spin this exit poll. Left+Prog. parties (BIJ1, SP, PvdD, GL-PvdA, Denk, Volt) would collectively lose 14 seats compared to 2021 Right (CU, NSC, VVD, CDA, 50+, BBB, SGP) would gain 3 Far-right (PVV, FVD, JA21) would gain 11

The Netherlands will join an increasingly long list of West European countries (CH, FR, IT, SE) where the radical right has overtaken the mainstream right as the main party of the right. A watershed moment for liberal democracies.

Still testing if it works but there’s now an IPE/CPE feed for folks who are in polisky already! It’s ipesky or cpesky or cipesky. First time I do any of this so I’m very open to suggestions (starting from the feed’s avatar!). Please help advertising it!

New publication! Check out the special issue on Policy Innovation in the Global South and South-North Policy Learning with the J. of Comp. Policy Analysis, edited by Achim Kemmerling. We learned a lot by workshopping different cases of (failed) South-North policy learning, polisky t.co/zWDakk4UtG

I used these today in class for teaching type 1 and type 2 error. Love them!
