Kristi Noem must resign. She has deported a four year old with cancer, detained a U.S. marshal, and arrested two members of Congress. She’s lost the confidence of the American people. ICE must stop terrorizing our communities.

Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state Keep that same energy of support for her

In the past week, a union leader has been arrested, a U.S. Rep charged with a crime, a U.S. Senator violently handcuffed, and reporters shot with rubber bullets and detained. There is no ambiguity. This is a regime operating as an authoritarian. Americans who believe in liberty must oppose it.

Reminder that seven Democratic senators voted to confirm Kristi Noem and six Dem senators declined to vote either way. She was confirmed, 59-34. The good faith experiment is clearly over, and we need the Democratic senators who didn't stand against her nomination to be loud as hell right now.

Just in case it wasn’t already obvious, vaccines are safe and effective. RFK Jr. making decisions about our health and giving bogus medical advice is not.

These 18 Senate Dems just voted to advance the crypto industry's money laundering bill: Alsobrooks Booker Cortez Masto Fetterman Gallego Gillibrand Hassan Heinrich Hickenlooper Kelly Kim Lujan Padilla Rosen Schiff Slotkin Warner Warnock

if we’ve learned one thing from the past four years - and let’s be real, maybe we haven’t - it’s that beneficently declining to prosecute egregious political criminals to make yourself look like you’re Nobly Rising Above Partisanship™️ is the worst idea in the world with a 0% success rate

Trump underwater in literally every single issue. 38% approval overall. 27% approval on his spending bill. 40% approval on deportations. Musk also at 30% approval. 38% approval for RFK Jr. 35% approval for JD Vance. Nobody fucking wants any of this. poll.qu.edu/poll-release...

Radio World - Some NOAA radio disruptions during recent severe weather has meant no triggering of the Emergency Alert System and thus radio, TV and cable systems were unable to broadcast potentially lifesaving information. https://www.radioworld.com/news-and-business/headlines/noaa-weather-radio-dis

"We fly the American flag in America" actually it's a free country and I can fly whatever flag I want so write that down 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇵🇸🇻🇦

Universities ARE healthcare “first time when all three missions of academic medicine – research, education and patient care – are threatened. The U.S. will probably face a physician shortage, stagnation in scientific progress +a decline in the quality of medical care." www.cnn.com/2025/06/11/h...

The Fulbright Scholarship board resigned due to political interference from the Trump administration. The State Department, led by Marco Rubio, is canceling scholarships for nearly 200 American professors and researchers based on their research topics, which include climate change, gender, and race.

Research from 2022 that every Democrat apologist should chew on: “We do not find any evidence that accommodative strategies reduce radical right support. If anything, our results suggest that they lead to more voters defecting to the radical right.“ www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Ohio's reps can't be moved on moral issues, so when I call, I focus on the economic ones. Here's some info if you're in a similar situation.

I hear calls for “civility” I believe that many of us are mistaking docility for civility

Two YouGov polls taken June 9/10: – Deploying Nat’l Guard: 38% approval-45% disapproval (30-47 among indies) – Deploying Marines: 34-47 (27-50 among indies) – Trump’s handling of deportations in general: 39-50 (30-54 among indies) Just because Trump wants this doesn't mean it's a winner for him.

the 2024 student encampments on college campuses had movement discipline and the state still beat them, tear gassed them, expelled them, and in some cases deported them

The idea we should behave in such a way that the Trumpists will not portray us as dangerous/ lawless/ violent is a silly idea, because they always portray us that way and no amount of curtseys and rolling over and playing dead will change that. So people might as well speak up and stand strong.

ChatGPT is down but The Museum of English Rural Life still stands, proving once again that Silicon Valley cannot compete with the history of rural England and its people.

Imagine complaining about Latinos being in a city called "Los Angeles."

Avoid the violence/nonviolence debate. It’s a trap. The only thing that matters is what actions lead to more justice and less harm. Inaction and complicity in the face of brutal oppression is the worst form of violence. Never forget it.

I get q's whenever I visit my old hometown in Alabama. "You live in *Brooklyn*? Are you safe?" The violent crime rate in Mobile is usually 3x higher. I turn the question back on the asker and get blank looks. Fear of cities is just media/politician-induced delusion and bigotry, nothing rational.

I am in downtown Los Angeles right now and it is completely surreal to hear that Trump is sending Marines here. We are listening to mariachi music. People have dogs. There are teenagers here. It is utterly and completely peaceful. Please tell your friends.

@cnn.com is lying. Lauren Tomasi wasn’t “hit by a rubber bullet,” a cop intentionally shot her in the back from a few feet away while she was reporting.

“Sometimes the job of the poet is simply to listen, and sometimes it is to become the unburied voice,” shares Ada Limón in today’s encore episode. Read “Sligo Abbey” by Rebecca Lindenberg: bit.ly/43UR8BX

Hey, casual FYI: if you want to learn about colonialism in Baltimore & Maryland in **long-term context**, this is the tour for you (and Full Story Baltimore is the tour company for you) (because that's what we do)
