I have some morbid curiosity about how easily Trumpworld managed Elon out. They basically set him up with an impossible task, shuffled him out of the West Wing, said "good luck!" and waited for him to rapidly disassemble like a spent booster rocket coming back into contact with a raging atmosphere.

ohhhh shit, I didn't realize that the dude who wrote about his experience at DOGE was Gumroad's founder. Many things slot into place, including how much of a rube this dude is. sahillavingia.com/doge

lol this is also a presentation that applies to the architectural differences between ATProto and ActivityPub. #trolling #kiddingnotkidding

Really interesting and laudably concise collection of thoughts; recommended reading. And I say this not only because Halvar used my most favorite non-intuitive indicator of industrial capability, the ballpoint pen ball.

Oh fascinating. tswift bought her masters back: www.billboard.com/pro/taylor-s...

Yo hwat, Deltron is back‽

Main character energy is OUT, this summer we’re bringing NPC energy. We’re posted up at the bar dropping lore and suggesting side quests. We’re leaning casually near a locked door and saying “I don’t think you have the key for that” when someone tries the handle. We’re staring at a tree.

@samuel.bsky.team Is there a CSS selector that'd make it possible to grab a post's timestamp? I'm trying to configure Obsidian's Web Clipper to extract post metadata. I can't rely on the clipper's meta tag extraction, cause the meta tags don't update when doing js-based navigation through the app.

I wrote about this in my newsletter but the idea that Bluesky has a uniquely hostile culture does not ring true to me. Twitter’s culture, especially at its peak, was so hostile that it lit people’s entire lives on fire if they tweeted something nice about their day that upset the wrong person

we're a real rooster now

What annoys me MOST about“left Joe Rogan” is I am old enough to remember when they were looking for a left Don Imus for the “young”’people and we had already moved away from that It’s the same thing now

You have 42,000+ followers and a blue check on Twitter, but your poll was only shown to ~2,300 users total, and only ~400 voted; the tweet itself got 15 engagements (6 likes, 9 replies). All other arguments aside, it's got to be getting harder to stay on a site that is so intent on screwing you

This is legit, because I grew up sort of oblivious to this due to my weird media habits and being in between cultures, so when I belatedly encountered conventional masculinity, it just seemed like a list of ways of using violence to ensure you never had feelings or experienced fun. Or felt sexy.

@rudyfraser.com lol. called it

Not sure how many people realize that battery storage already supplies 30% of California’s electricity demand at peak. Batteries aren’t the future — they’re here now.

choosing to believe that Elon bullied Grok into self-harm

Everyone is reporting that X is down. But 3D artists know that X is not down, it is right. -Y is usually down. Though in 3DSMax it is -Z.

Burn, baby burn / Bullshit Infernooooo

Folks coming over from Twitter, let me introduce you to Bluesky's welcome committee: @eva.bsky.world

Well shit. My <3 out for all my former colleagues

This is so difficult to read and so profoundly disappointing. Mad respect to the women who risked so much by coming forward with these stories.

sorry to say that I have now spent enough time in management that I've turned into a real pervert for the idea of a well groomed backlog

I wish people would stop name checking #blacksky in posts and talks, and start talking about the specific features, organization and things that make #blacksky interesting.

I didn't think that I would be saying this in 2025, but in person meet ups are going to have to be praxis for maintaining online networks.

anyway for those of you who think that video proof that something occurred is particularly good proof,
