Don’t they consider the impact of the sudden,massive layoffs? unemployment increases mortgage delinquency, credit card delinquency, reduces discretionary spending, reduces travel/tourism spending, increases demand for social services and support, and increases mental health crises.

FDA food safety is now more questionable with fewer inspectors and I imagine standards will die on the heap of deregulations…. Perhaps we can help ourselves by buying from local farms as much as possible— no big Agra if we support our small farmers we will all eat a little cleaner.

The Kennedy Library is closed indefinitely due to staff layoffs. ( what about the LBJ library? Nixon? Others?) Will RFK Jr stand for this? Outrageous. I’m sure other libraries are next. Any place that documents history.

I’m trying to switch some of my regular purchases to items manufactured in the US and it’s hard to do! They might say “ ships from..” or “distributed by “ US locations, but the origin is often unavailable. Also trying to use eco-friendly or organic. Cottage industries, apparently.

I’m not even sure we know how to rebel… However we heard that legislators have been intimidated with threats to their families if they dare not pass all the nominees. Someone could pay for private security. All we need is one billionaire to be on the side of freedom.

Democrats had copies of the 2025 roadmap—surely could have developed a plan. Was the only defensive strategy to elect Harris? Some governors and judges try to slow the roll of Trumps overnight changes to Fed gov but the Supreme Court said anything done as a Presidential duty is legal.

For years the far Right screamed “ Constitution”, “ Founders”, “Federalist papers” and “ checks and balances”. They rejected revisionist courts. But now their guy wants to personally change the Constitution —with power granted to him by the Supreme Court , negating the legislative branch.
