"You can just reflavor things" is such a silly counterargument in TTRPG spaces. Like, yes, I can. I can also change the mechanics or write my own, but I paid money for someone else to do that, didn't I?

It’s always the same fucking 5 insufferable weirdos complaining about “cozy games are too uwu” “cozy games don’t have depth”. It’s just a fucking marketing term, and unless you hold the same contempt and energy for the marketing term “hardcore” you can fuck off 🫶🏼💖 uwu rebranded misogyny

Honestly, PF2 characters should just get a free Lore skill increase at every normal skill increase. You shouldn't feel pressured to grab Additional Lore to keep your background lore relevant.

Oh!! I wonder who doodled me this nice elf. 😊

I hate to defend them for anything but making fun of Democrats for "not doing anything" with their social media posts is kinda like yelling at a McDonald's commercial for not directly improving the flavor of the Big Mac. like. what exactly are you expecting out of a Bluesky post.

I think fantasy settings should have fixers too. You as an adventurer need jobs but don't want to get ripped off or backstabbed, have someone vet clients for you and act as your agent

Happy Valentine's Day, I made you a #TTRPG safety tool! The Relationship Bouquet is a set of tools and procedures designed to help you negotiate the inclusion of charged interpersonal relationships in play by alleviating the anxieties and social pressures that often accompany those negotiations!

Two things that are both true at the same time- A) The vast majority of TTRPG players play in homebrew campaigns and don't use premade adventures. B) Companies that provide premade adventures for their TTRPGs are typically much more financially successful and stable than those that don't.

My ongoing bugbear is that I really, really wish TTRPG people and the gaming industry as a whole would recognize that arachnophobia is an accessibility issue. I love spider aesthetics, too, but they're a lot right now.

"A long time ago, many retired adventurers died in tragic accidents caused by their old enchanted equipment..." Shields & Skillets is just one of the cozy mini-games you'll find in this chill RPG about fantasy adventurers who settle down to start a pub. Available now: evilhat.com/product/stew...

I genuinely think a lot of people in online creative spaces don't know how to engage with each other's work or ideas except as an act of competition.
