Heading out to support one of our neighbors and some of Erica's coworkers at the Run/Walk the Railroad Bridge in Sequim today. Part of the runthepeninsula.com series. Just found out about it actually. Next time, we might be participating (in the walk part 😂).

Ball is life. Fetch is life.

Listen to me read my latest poem, "When Seeing a Bee Reminds Me of Depression." youtu.be/l_O4Af45Ung

A poem about depressions and the constant battle that it is. How it erupts in the everyday. How it holds tight. And how it loosens. How it's always there. https://kolasch.com/2025/04/24/when-seeing-a-bee-reminds-me-of-depression/

Trying something a bit different.

My therapist once said she worried I could be a little manic, but that I would back down before she got concerned enough to have it be something. I keep thinking she should have pushed on that more?

Is there a word or a phrase for when you feel like banging your head against the wall but you're too tired to actually move so you just sit there with your head against the wall?

I feel like the Hozier yell trend...but just yelling.

Just sharing two of my favorite photos I've taken of our pups.

Recorded a video. Talking about moving last year, losing Shadow, and life. youtu.be/iQZHu4EJCtw

Easter egg hunt for the pups! Plastic eggs with treats inside.

I think we're mad about the right things, but coming to the wrong conclusions. Like, my wife just told me about people being upset with Kelly Clarkson about a comment she made about people having to work and schools holding events during school hours.

Very creative, San Francisco! 8647 ✊

This is getting fewer headlines than it should. After coming to power promising to help working people, the president is revealing his real priorities by actively making it easier for banks to rip people off.

The turnout in small towns across the country has been incredible drawing crowds of thousands. We’re already seeing over one million in attendance nationwide, and events are still underway. Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio all had especially surprising showings.

Art has always been a way to be political and to fight against abuse of power. Words, photos, music, painting, etc. It captures the moments and emotions. It kindles that feeling of community and belonging.

Love, or treats? Or both?

The SAVE Act would block millions of eligible Americans from voting. Text SAVE to 63033 to tell your Senators to vote NO on the SAVE Act and stop it in its tracks.

Birds!

Oh look. Another bribery and extortion scheme.

This is terrifying in America. ICE agents are showing up masked—these abductions must stop. If you’re going to detain someone, show your face, present a warrant, and proper ID. Disappearing people from their families without evidence or accountability isn’t law enforcement—it’s state-sponsored fear.

Eugenicists are so stupid.

Sometimes, the photo just lines itself up perfectly. The CoHo ferry coming into Port Angeles from Victoria.

Wind and waves make for a very pretty ocean.

Just an artful Indi.

"The 2024 election wasn’t a restaurant where you could order cheaper eggs but politely ask for the server to hold the fascism. You’re still getting the fascism, and your eggs aren’t just overpriced now, they’re broken and rotten." -- @playtyperguy.com

Explaining things in relatable ways as always. Thanks, Randall!

Absolutely amazing. I love seeing all the posts and photos and videos. We need to keep sharing and keep showing up. And if you can't show up, share! Spread the word. Like, comment, repost, talk about it. Get the word out. You don't have to attend a protest to be a protester or to resist.

Seriously, you need to read Amanda's poetry. Her mastery of language is just...🔥🔥🔥

So proud of American Resisters today! #Handsoff

West Coast numbers are coming in, and estimates have now surpassed 5 million. People are still pouring into the streets—nearly 2% of the American population is rising up. America, we are so proud of you. You did it.

To the world: We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom. —With love, Your American allies.

Now that's some driftwood. Taken at Kalaloch Beach, Olympic National Park.
