Very glad to hear that @ivory (makers of Tweetbot and Ivory) are working on a BlueSky client! Totally will be there for that. https://www.macrumors.com/2025/03/05/tapbots-phoenix-app-bluesky/

heh.. not even 5 minutes into the first episode of season 3 of Reacher (Amazon Prime) and I have to stop it and go, "Hey, that's Pickering Village!"

Some shenanigans going on in Toronto today, it seems.

I’m wondering if that iceTickle will let long enough to reach the balcony rail…

Civic duty done.

I keep trying to educate my parents about spotting the 'red flags' in scam/phishing emails. Stuff like: "Dear <email address>" instead of "Dear <name>" Obviously non-existent addresses (London D31 ...????) Click here / call this number to contact us They've not got it yet, but they do call me

According to this article, we currently have the most snow that's been on the ground since Jan 15, 1999. That seems that it was the record for 'snowpack' back then, and the past storms that we've had have put our current level at 2nd. https://fursuits.online/@kootenay/114020821148553880

Wow... crazy news out of Toronto airport right now. Delta Airlines flight from MSP crashed on landing and somehow overturned. No deaths currently, but 8 people getting medical treatment, including one child. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/toronto-pearson-overturned-airplane-1.7461227

It would have been wonderful to do something for this 4-day weekend that I had... if it hadn't been for the largest snowfall we've had in a fair while :P

Since yesterday noonish we’ve had quite a dump of snew, and it’s still falling. Definitely the biggest snewfall of the season, and also I think since I’ve been here (2018). In fact, today is the anniversary of me moving into this condo.

Guess I'll have to think about a new portable SSD drive for when travelling, since just had to co-opt my current one as additional space for my home virtualization environment...

Well, certainly seems that the next 5 days will be 'interesting'. :P

Ugh... It's _that_ day again. When all those darn owls think they’re superb or something.

I’m currently in a mood for UK-produced murder-mystery TV series to watch in the evening. It’s kind of fun when you actually manage to get the broad strokes of who, how, and why all correct. :>

Correction, as the radio informed this morning. It's the lowest it's been in _22_ years... and could drop as low as US$ 0.65 for Cdn$ 1. :( https://fursuits.online/@kootenay/113936561695962871

And now the Canadian$ is at its lowest level against the US$ in over 10 years. :(

[USpol / Tariffs / 🍊] If you were one of the people that voted for that person who has just opened war (albeit a trade war, but still) against my country, then you can just fuck right off.

I can forgive on Bsky because there's no CW functionality there except for NSFW images. But here? C'mon, people... Think before you post, as well as boost :P

I think it may be time to start disabling seeing boosts from people who boost non-CW’d political stuff. *grumble*

I need more people that I know, that also use VRChat, to a) friend me there (Tseatah), and b) get online during regular East Coast N/American hours. Because it seems that most people on my list are either in UK/Europe, or West coast. :P

I want to do Pokémon Go Fest that's in Jersey City, NJ, on the June 6-8 weekend. Anyone want to come with an hotel room share?

[canpol] https://ground.news/article/canada-pm-trudeau-to-announce-resignation-as-early-as-monday-globe-and-mail-reports_284d4c With Trudeau reportedly going to resign tomorrow, and the Libs likely to get No Confidence’d by the other 3 main parties by Jan 30, this means the Liberals will be […]

Trying to think what conventions to do this year. AC in July is already on my plans. But should really do something else as well. Any one have any thoughts, or even potential room space?

This is pretty much exactly how my H-1B visa experience went. First company delayed getting started on the process, then laid me off once it was getting towards the Adjustment phase, and I lost it. Second company didn’t even bother getting it started. So that’s why I ended up in Canada. Which […]

🛬 Down and safe in YYZ

Just about to push back from the gate here at LHR. Next stop; YYZ. 🛫AC857

Time to head back to Toronto.

Less than 40 hours until I’m back in Toronto. Overall, this trip back to the UK has been good, but given me a lot to think about.

Back from recording a podcast with some folks. It’s usually a fun one to listen to, but definitely a treat to be part of. I’ve done this one before a couple of times, and they’re fun folks to be around. We have similar senses of humour. Anyway, was a good night.

Went and saw the new version of Starlight Express earlier today up near Wembley. Was good, but I don't think it was as good as the original 1984 version! Was a Birbday treat thing. (Trying to post this via Desktop, since wasn't posting from my phone)

In case it wasn’t obvious from my last post…

Okay, colour me mildly amused :>

All kind of anxiety for tomorrow with my plan to go to the LondonFurs thing. After two people I thought were going now aren’t (one due to legit weather concern, the other going to MFF despite saying they’d be there), I wonder who is gonna be there that I’ll know, or knows me.

Pumping hot water around a house to heat it is incredibly silly, I think. I know that's the Way Things Are Done in the UK, but perhaps more prone to causing damage than a forced air furnace. Case in point; yesterday, my parents got someone around to fix the radiators in my room here. 1/

Dang it. Out of #Whamageddon already. That’s what I get for being in a UK shopping centre, I guess. :P I knew I didn’t stand a chance here.

Steller's Jay enjoying some of the seed we put out. Starting to get some more visitors now that the cold and snow have really set in Love those eyebrows! #birds #birding #corvids
