Worf both got into Qanon and then joined the Taliban in Deep Space 9 because his girlfriend wore a bathing suit on Risa the sexual planet

Elsa Lam continues to prove & document how corrupt & full of lies the Doug Ford closure of the science centre was & is. Read & share widely - not that it matters in Ontario, a province that seems ok w a high level of this. www.canadianarchitect.com/draft-engine...

71 years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that segregation in public schools was unconstitutional. May our history inspire us, inform us, and instruct us in the work ahead.

Pedro Pascal: “I want people to be safe and protected. I want to live on the right side of history. I am an immigrant. My parents are refugees from Chile. We fled a dictatorship and I was privileged enough to grow up in the United States after asylum in Denmark. I stand by those protections, always”

Siri, how is the consultant class and P3 projects in Ontario connected to the concept of Rent Seeking?

This should be the only use for plantations. The wedding venue stuff is just sick.

Whatever is or isn’t happening between the Ontario Ministry of Transportation/Metrolinx and OnExpress, what we do know is Metrolinx continues to operate with a ridiculous amount of secrecy. This isn’t good governance, decent management or even the most basic transparency. This is incredibly bad.

Rumours too that their contract with Metrolinx has been terminated. Huge if true... stlawyers.ca/blog-news/on...

the President of the United States, everyone

Reach out to your MPP and especially the premier and Minister of Transportation, the potential impact of speeding electrification and saving tax dollars is enormous!

I Know What You Did Last Supper

Look around everybody on MUTE

I think this is the part that’s the most scandalous. No one knows WHAT GO Expansion is promising to deliver, or how they promise to deliver it or when it’s supposed to be delivered. It’s tens of billions of dollars of taxpayer’s money with next to no accountability. It’s VERY Ontario-y.

The fact this horrific and real story of the suffering of a Black woman is being presented as a horror befalling a white woman may be the most accurate distillation of “The Handmaid’s Tale” I’ve ever seen.

Audit of Maryland autopsies uncovers at least 36 in-custody police deaths that should've been considered homicides. State officials announced their findings following a review spurred by concerns about the former state medical examiner’s testimony in death of George Floyd. apnews.com/article/davi...

GO "expansion" is an incredible example of what should be. Honestly a fairly straightforward project and Metrolinx etc. finding an incredibly convoluted and ineffective way of moving it along.

An old heritage preservation activist friend of mine would say you have to know which fights to fight for, and which to let go. Cities are not museums, if the shed is in the way of proper transit, it goes or is preserved in some other way.

The single thing I am most confounded with about Trump is why he thinks the word groceries is something people stopped saying in 1937

I’ve said it before: the Union trainshed is the perfect representation of Toronto: it’s absolutely awful but because it’s old we’re stuck with it

Just unbelievably silly

Absolutely nuts to priority a low-slung mass of rusting iron over railway electrification in Toronto

Imagine this being the reason we kneecap our regional train system with silly battery trains

The situation with Union Station and it's train shed is silly. Battery trains in the centre of a city are silly. We should probably remove the train shed. My latest, and possibly last transit post: open.substack.com/pub/nexttoro...

Is the new Liberal government saying house prices are fine, we just need more supply? Is @markcarey93.bsky.social and his new housing minister telling Canadians house prices are affordable? #CDNpoli

If this is the approach the Liberals are taking to housing, they're hooped. Building affordable housing is absolutely necessary—in part because it will help bend the cost curve for the market as a whole. globalnews.ca/news/1117941...

Perfect answer 🤗

The only way to stop climate change is to drastically reduce CO₂ emissions.

With violence in Gaza dominating headlines, students naturally have questions. It is troubling that most classrooms lack the historical context to respond. If you are in B.C. (Canada), please sign the petition to add the Nakba to the Social Studies curriculum: actionnetwork.org/petitions/te...

Ben Cohen, cofounder of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, was removed from the Senate after confronting lawmakers over US support for Israel's military campaign in Gaza.

There are many reasons we're here in fascism, but one of the biggest is that nearly all members of the media have spent the last ten years not asking Donald Trump a follow-up question.

This is such an important project, because it shows how social housing doesn’t have to be boring… it can be crafted, fun and beautiful By Monadnock Architects in Hilversum

This was so much fun to participate in and document 👇

"My friend called me from London - seriously overweight - he's on the fat shot, and asked why it’s $88, not $1500 like in New York." 💉 Trump has realised people love cheaper drugs… a price cut Biden actually delivered. @maitlis.bsky.social | @jonsopel1.bsky.social

Said it before, I will say it again. Whatever the Premier says, this is not transportation policy. It's an dogmatic position on who has the right to use public space and how. www.thestar.com/politics/pro...

The ICC’s chief prosecutor has lost access to his email, and his bank accounts have been frozen. American staffers at the court have been told that if they travel to the U.S. they risk arrest. NGOs have stopped working with the ICC, the leader of one won’t even reply to ICC emails.
