My unhinged scavenger poverty meal for the night is: mac and cheese with ancient freezer spinach, saurkraut, some parsnips that were getting gross in my friends fridge that I cut up and froze cooked in bacon fat with hickory salt and ras al hanout. 10/10 cursed meal.

One of the satisfying things about cooking bacon is that I have a system for storing the fat afterwards & I can make cheap vegetables like parsnips come alive. Also have used it to cook popcorn on the stove -- It was hardly bacon-y and not overpowering as you might expect.

I think about inaction a lot. I watched these videos once of French kids I think who were neglected vs those that received parental support and the neglected kids were almost always internally displaying signs of hesitation to try new things. I think of these kids a lot.

Out of sheer curiosity I bought both of the HBO co-branded White Lotus creamers for coffee. The piña one is weird af and feels like it’s for Mormon soda and I haven’t tried the other one. The murder milk lore is wild and I can’t believe they cobranded something with murder lore as a foodstuff.

the youtube algorithim sucks these days. i watched one random video about #2 pencils (because ive never seen a #1 pencil and there was one in the thumbnail) and it was like youtube said "alright boys, fill his feed with writing utensils, he can't resist"
