Fßnf Minuten ins Handy geguckt und ich will schon wieder nicht mehr. Wie hält man das aus, wenn es sich anfßhlt als ob es wirklich gar keine Hoffnung mehr fßr die Welt gibt. Mehr als wählen gehen und Eskapismus kriege ich gerade nicht hin.

Tonight I roughly polished the last chapter and then closed the file and all related docs. Now "Dragon Machine" will rest until I start editing it in a month or two. After working on it for a year, this feels strange. I'm free to write other things now, but it still feels like I've lost something.

Exactly one year after starting the first draft of my steampunk fantasy monstrosity “Dragon Machine” I finished at 130k after a mad writing session of 4,5k in almost one sitting. Now off to celebrate and letting it rest a bit. And then it’s editing time, trying to cut it down to 100k or less.

Heute wieder ne Absage fĂźr ne englische Kurzgeschichte bekommen aber diesmal vom Chief Editor meines Wunschmagazins statt nur von nem Assistent. Die Mail war doppelt so lang wie beim ersten Text & enthielt auch positives. Runter vom dreaded slush pile war ich damit wohl - ich werte das als Erfolg
