The only thing I had to hear to be 100% sold on Nightreign was that it's a passion project from a single dev who's worked at fromsoft since DS1 and Miyazaki liked it enough to put them in as a director in an official release. It's going to be better than anyone is anticipating.

If you told me one of the most important fictional characters iml was going to come from a mid 2010's BBC sitcom I wouldn't have believed you. Val is just such a well written and acted character. They feel realized, warm and lived in. I can't imagine anyone but Con as Val.
