I wanted to use the shapes of this character I’ve had for a while for a school project, but I had to go a different route since we had to use all 8x8 inches of this black paper. I cut way too many small shapes and it took a long time to reassemble this character on paper, so I tried something else.

I used to visit my grandparents lake house every week as a kid and the movies I distinctively remember having on VHS were Lake Placid and Harry and the Hendersons. My grandpa was very much into mythical creatures and aliens and other media of that nature so it was always fun watching stuff there.

I still can’t believe people think Covid isn’t a thing anymore, that it is not a priority to wear a mask in some spaces. My grandmother has been staying in a rehab center since early December and a week ago there was a sign saying that a few patients were developing signs of Covid.

I kinda prefer how Gandalf looks in the Rankin/Bass films compared to Ralph Bakshi’s design but that’s like the only thing I enjoy looking at. I forgot about the huge ass anime eyes and square heads basically everyone has in The Hobbit (1977) and The Return of the King (1980).
