imagine you’re not from the country and are unfamiliar with chocolate hazelnut hedgehogs and then you look at this purdys chocolate legend to identify your treat flavours

i need people to understand "death of the author" means the author can't dictate what you take away from the text, not that you're not complicit in what they do with the profit they make from you buying it in the first place

Tenants in this West End building are taking on billionaire landlords who were named in the Panama Papers. We must strengthen City bylaws to defend the health of all renters. ABC's remaining councillors need to act with integrity on this and other issues. #vanpoli

Ken Sim and ABC have some strange connections to federal right-wing groups and with the release of the 2024 Mayors Expenses, there are even more. Hidden in the mayors office Discretionary Travel and Training Expenses is airfare for L. Yao to attend a Canada Strong and Free Network event in Calgary.

I love the Da Vinki twins… Boyos I am so sorry I confused you for the Island Boys for a split second that one time

Congratulations #vancouver for electing two progressives to city council!! I’m so happy! ✨ Let’s do it again in 2026, okay! @seanorr.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social

This is so good lmao #vancouver #dragthevote

Hello #Vancouver, today’s your last day to vote in the by-election if you haven’t already! Two council seats are open and you have a few choices of progressive candidates including OneCity, Green Party and COPE. Voting’s open until 8pm, find your nearest station here! vancouver.ca/election/202...

Hello #Canada my beloved, please don’t fall for this sort of signage. Timmy Ho’s has been American-owned since 2014. Not everything with a maple leaf on it right now is your friend, plenty of corporations still just want to take advantage of you

AI Aloy reminds me of the hard lesson I had to learn recently which is that as a writer for a company, you don’t own the characters you create or have any say over how they get used. And not in a “oh I don’t get merch royalties” way, that’s expected. I mean in a major moral injury kind of way

For the Canadians :)

If you are concerned about the state of the world, please please get involved with local politics. You won’t believe how much there is you can personally do and change on the local level, even just by volunteering (no need to actually become a politician yourself if you don’t want to)

Good talk from Bennett Foddy and Zach Gage on this exact topic: www.gdcvault.com/play/1025668...
