With Villeneuve directing Bond, please tell me Roger Deakins, Greig Fraser or Linus Sandgren is lensing. Deakins' "Skyfall" remains a gold standard for not just Bond but any digitally-shot films. Sandgren's "No Time to Die" also looks damn pretty.

43 years ago today, it was a great day for lovers of genre cinema. They woke up and had the choice of going to see Ridley Scott's Blade Runner or John Carpenter's The Thing. 👌 None was a great success, quite the contrary, and the reviews were generally mixed, if not negative. 😂

This mirror shot in La Haine took a few hours to complete as there was no mirror there. Vincent Cassel was in another room & a body double across from him was mimicking his movements. He drops down & the camera pushes in. The magic of the movies, kids. The same trick was also used in Rogue Nation.
