Pokémon Hot-take: Ground type is not an element, it's a skill. It's not "earth"-magic the way types like Fire are. It's the ability to physically manipulate the floor, for defense and setting traps. It's making the ground unstable against the many creatures that take sure footing for granted.

I wrote about this in my newsletter but the idea that Bluesky has a uniquely hostile culture does not ring true to me. Twitter’s culture, especially at its peak, was so hostile that it lit people’s entire lives on fire if they tweeted something nice about their day that upset the wrong person

This is completely out of the blue, but I'm thinking back to my idea of the Masters 8 being double elim instead of a single elim bracket. So much more potential for a dramatic story line.

Maybe it's just me, but there's a point to be made about how ever since Pokémon Black and White that we - the player character - aren't in the shoes of the actual protagonist of the story, but yes as a bystander. Our actions either deflate those of others or aren't opposed by anoyone on N's caliber.
