Reminiscing over my first ever flight to America for my first tour and horrifying the passenger next to me by watching Eraserhead on my laptop… I don’t see what all the fuss was about though, it’s actually quite a spiritual film.

How do you deal with writers block without just swan diving in to the void? I’ll go first: If I can’t make a tune, I do literally anything else that can still be useful - sound design, make myself sample packs, chop up audio in to loops. If that doesn’t work, I change my environment.

Sometimes when nothing is sounding the way I want and it’s not exciting, I’ve found it useful to completely change my method. Forcing myself in to the unfamiliar to find unexpected inspiration. Example - today instead of using ableton, I will only use the sp404 resampling.
