After posting about our water heater, Nina heard from our across-the-road neighbor, who had the exact same problem last night. They cut off the water and power, cleaned up the mess, and turned everything back on, with no further problems. We decided to try that, and lo and behold, no problems. (1/2)

The last song that Brent played on the first half of the show yesterday was one he wrote with (I think) Reckless Johnny Wales. A tango of sorts. Dave improvised some amazingly ballistic solos on it. Made my whole week to be sitting next to him while he did that. If you missed it, you missed it.

One of my favorite picking partners, Dave Isaacs, had a trio called DI3, until he and I wrote them a song called “Homegrown Medicinals”. They changed their name to Medicine King before releasing their next album, which included this song.
