But also I'm very bad at it in a zoom meeting. Inevitably I forget halfway through.

After five years of having to do as staff over and over again in meetings my brain just feels singed.

Love this.

I have done that exactly once in the many times I've played that game and it looks like you took a similar road (though I was cozier with the KPD). All my wins hinged on obsessively fundraise/building the party org. It's funny/sad that the Marxist center is basically dead wrong in game.

Walking into the highway shutdowns and thousands here Sunday felt like walking right back into those moments in the streets—and I felt hope. 2/2

It’s also why “that’s why we should only do economic populism” is hollow as a magic bullet. Like the task is much harder and more about we have to do some very difficult deep and mass organizing to move millions out of this brain space.

I have heard almost the same exact sentiment from my friends deep in immigrant workers organizing (and well from my trans daughter). I always felt like “we protect ourselves” is a bit glib but we have to now.

In other words it's the same kind of stupid neoliberal austerity that inevitably fails and kills people. And one that just will get worse with Trumpian authoritarian chaos. 3/3

- DCA current staff work 10 hour days often for six days a week. - Last week Trump instituted a nationwide hiring freeze for air traffic controllers, gutted the Aviation Security Advisory Comm, and at the behest of fellow governing oligarch Elon Mush fired the head of the FAA. 2/3

I’ve been running SUD for the kids recently. Isaac’s first time playing. It feels like I’m running someone else’s adventure that’s how long it’s been.

How many deaths that’s the real question? I’ve had a few giant in-person games since moving to LA. I kind of love the chaos. But I would.

Like why is Arizona with massive GOTV money and field as a hot swing state at -3% turnout—and votes both Trump and Ruben Gallego? (I know a few reasons but it still mystifies me overall.)

Good point. Depressed compared to total turnout in some places in 2020 which had relatively high turnout. It just interests me the millions who opted to not vote or undervoted/split at the top.

And Trump won with fewer voters than he lost with in 2020. Turnout was depressed for the most part nationwide which points to some different lessons.

Interestingly enough the Democrats also have one of the smallest defeats (in percentage terms) too in this context.
