He’s obviously wrong about *why*, but Musk is right. Electronic voting sucks. The US is dumb for doing it. But no, Musk Bad, so we’ve somehow ended up with ‘the left’ DEFENDING electronic voting, something that makes election mechanics harder to understand and audit. What a fucked country.

Beginning to see the unmistakeable whispers of wannabe ‘thought leader’ devs talking about atproto in the same way that they talked about blockchain ~10yrs ago. Never a shortage of people that mistake interesting tech for something that should be shoved everywhere for the fun of it. Churn-addicts.

Here's the cursed Python for the week: Instead of a += consider using the -=- operator 🫠

feel like the time is right for an Osama bin Laden biopic done in the style of Walk The Line.

Brian Eno's "Ambient 1" only sold 10,000 copies, but everyone who bought it went on to start an airport.

democrats won’t admit it, but my family’s economic outlook has gotten a LOT better since Trump took office. but what do i know? i don’t have a fancy economics degree, i’m just a regular guy who runs an airplane scrapyard

your outie uses git checkout -b rather than git switch -c

I legitimately feel like an idiot for not previously putting two and two together and realising that Elon Musk is totally the sorta person to think that he “knows a lot about planes”, and the sorta person that would—on this basis—do some ridiculously dumb shit.

I’ve been conditioned to expect that absolutely nothing will come of this, especially in the US, but a generation of new politicians mobilised by Trump/Musk bullshit is the sort of movie plot that’s fun to mentally indulge in for a few minutes.
