I’m an award winning sculptor and brain tumor survivor who carves wavy and whirly things out of wood. Check out my recent work on my website, and see my process on other social media sites until I post more here. www.liquiddreamcreations.com

Imperfections are only imperfect if you let them be #art #sculpture #woodworking

A few people have asked me how I did the lighting for this glowing frame sculpture I carved, so I decided to make a short video going over the process. #sculpture #art #led

Carving another dualistic Corian dish. What color combinations for the layers do you think would look nice when I recreate this piece out of resin? #art #sculpture

You’re getting sleepy… you’re getting very sleepy… you love my sculptures and want to like all of my posts… #art #sculpture

I recently updated my website liquiddreamcreations.com with some of the things I’ve made the past few months. Go check it out! I still have to edit and refine a lot of the text on there to present my work in a more compelling way, but it’s good enough in the mean time. #art #sculpture

Just another little video of this glowing LED synthetic stone picture frame. #sculpture #art #ledsculpture

The painstaking process of carving this wavy abstract sculpture base. Sometimes you just make a weird, wavy sculpture and realize you need to make another carved up sculpture for it to sit on. Was it worth the effort? Probably not but it’s too late to think about that now.

This sculpture, titled Brass Canary, was the recipient of a @collexart gallery purchase award, The Abstract Mind 2024. It’s the first award I’ve ever received (and applied for) for my work, and is hopefully one of many to come in the future! #sculpture #art #artgallery

Let me walk you through the process of making a silicone mold of this abstract picture frame sculpture thing I carved. I wish I didn’t have to install the lights in it before I made the mold, but with the way I did it, there was no other option. #maker #moldmaking #sculpture

Should I make more LED enhanced sculptures like this? It takes a considerable amount of extra time and effort to do this, but I can already say that about the way I make my regular sculptures, so maybe it’s worth it. There’s just something so satisfying about it. #art #sculpture #rainbow

My second attempt at making this silicone mold, freeing the sculptural picture frame hidden away in its rubbery prison. The countertop is made from the same material as the sculpture, Corian is versatile stuff! #art #sculpture #abstract

Carving the world’s smallest corian sculpture base, made from a piece of scrap that’s older than me. If you live in Western Pennsylvania and got a countertop made by a man named Sam in the 80s or 90s, you may be the reason I got this scrap.

Getting lost in a constellation of rainbow waves, never quite settling in to the ever shifting landscape as color washes over ethereal forms like the ocean Seeking something unfindable in the galactic palette, hoping the endless array of hues can impart their cosmic wisdom upon you #art #sculpture

I think this is the coolest piece I’ve ever made, but to me it represents so much more than something nice to look at. It’s the manifestation of my creative vision, it’s me finally pushing that boulder all the way up the hill. #sculpture #art

The coolest sculpture I’ve ever carved #art #sculpture #carving

Working my way up through the grits to make this synthetic stone picture frame sculpture as smooth and polished as glass. Should I sand up to a higher grit next time? #sculpture #art

I like the dualistic theme of these synthetic stone dishes I’ve been carving the past few months, and can recreate the colors if I reproduce them with resin. #sculpture #powercarving

Well, they can’t all be winners. I’m currently modifying the original sculpture so I can make a new silicone mold of it to prevent these imperfections from forming.

I work in an uninsulated shop with only a small space heater for heat, so I spend every winter wishing it was spring and every summer wishing it was fall.
