Progress: rounded bolts have been drilled out, awaiting twisting off once the valve cover is off. Stalled: trying to get the cover off, what with it being sealed to the head with that stupid gasket maker goop.

Valve cover bolts that require a breaker bar to loosen are absolutely a sign of a bad previous owner.

Way behind on @smithandsniff.bsky.social podcasts, and just got to the one where they talk about snow accumulation making cars look like cokeheads. I once ran a Toyota MR2 Spyder year-round (yes with snow tires as needed) and it is the perfect visualization of snowy excitement.
