If I follow you, it's because you *don't* post on Substack and I want to support you! This labeler identifies Substack links so you can avoid them. Substack tithes to Nazis. See pinned thread for advice on switching to a new platform!

if you needed another reason to leave Substack, this pro-genocide right-wing magazine is now on Substack

TIL @labeler.antisubstack.fyi exists! Its pinned post starts a thread with links to several credible posts re why to leave substack, how to do it, possible impacts, + great alternatives. I've convinced friends to leave 🙌 I know friends who haven't yet, and I live in hope that they will soon 🙏

Seeing as I keep banging on about leaving substack, if you have a newsletter that’s not on substack and you’re looking for subscribers, why not post a link to your newsletter in the replies and explain what your newsletter is about.

Last week I switched my newsletter from Substack to Beehiiv. I was really happy with how easy it was to move an existing mailing list and content. The analytic tools are also MUCH more robust. #kidlit ginaperry.beehiiv.com/p/march-buzz

I have officially moved my newsletter off of Substack and over to Beehiiv I've been warned it'll be a lot slower to grow but I feel like Substack is willing to heavily promote newsletters that I am diametrically opposed to The newsletter will remain free unburdened.beehiiv.com

The Mets Newsletter. It's a newsletter about - you guessed it - the Mets. It features lengthy recaps, analysis, all the Met news, minor league updates, random whimsy, and more. themetsnewsletter.com

@indivisible.org @workingfamilies.org @moveon.org I love all y'all, but I'm really disappointed to see you starting a newsletter on Substack in the year 2025. Please consider switching to Buttondown, Beehiiv, or Ghost instead. www.semafor.com/article/03/2...

a friend who started on Substack around the same time as I, and who has a *much* bigger following has just announced they are migrating to Beehiiv soon. Moving was a lonely, risky business, but I like to think it eventually will get others to do the same.

"A year after leaving Substack in early 2024, newsletter writers are making more money peddling their words on other platforms." Mostly Ghost and Beehiiv. #Media

TIL it isn't BEEHIIV that's subscribing y'all to other people's lists without consent. It's the content creator themselves. Sounds like a lot of creators need to learn about the FTC rules (and fines). So be ruthless with the unsubscribe & "mark as spam" buttons, it won't hurt the other creators!

Let me plug @jkuznicki.bsky.social's newsletter, which just moved from Substack (boo!) to Beehiiv (yay!). Basically every essay Jason writes has had a real intellectual impact on me. He's one of those thinkers who will help you see the world in new and fruitful ways. He's extraordinary.

FINALLY! After weeks of reviewing post links, formatting, and tags, I have completely moved Invisible Inks OFF Substack and onto Beehiiv. Feels so good!

As others have noted, incredibly sloppy work to seamlessly imply that Substack, a brand name (a Nazi one even!), is generically swappable with ‘newsletter,’ BUT ALSO, wild to just take Substack’s word for it re: numbers and dollars.

I wish people would stop using "substack" as a synonym for "newsletter." I mean, please, if you're not going to leave substack the platform, at least use the correct word for what you're writing.

🥰 I made this labeler because I hated getting tricked into clicking on Substack links and I am so glad other people are using it and recommending it to others.
