Ppl don't realize... as a nurse or medical provider, you can lose a pt or be involved in trying to save a life that was still lost...and you still have to go on with your shift that day. Mind just fried, can't think straight, in a daze... multiple staff just a shell, replaying the scene.

All I wanted was either to not deliver my pt or deliver her before shift change so next shift does her recovery. Not push with her, deliver, need nicu, have a hemorrhage and a 3rd-4th degree laceration. My God. When they say be careful what you wish for, this is what they meant.
