Life in 2025 kinda feels like the car chase scene in To Live and Die in LA.

I think I need to go to Gonerfest this year to see Silkworm. My hands are tied.

A new attitude I have about releasing new music is that I’m going to choose to stay away from as many things that feel “demoralizing” and maintain as much control as possible (haha)

These photos of Greg Sage mixing Wipers’ OVER THE EDGE make me feel like music is evidence of a higher power.

I just showed my 8 year old nephew Evil Dead 2. He was asking (begging) to watch Leprechaun but I had to show him “what’s up.”

There’s really great capital “I” indie rock coming out of Philly right now. No shades of emo. Just the distilled, uncut product with no lingering jitters or uneasiness.

In your heart there’s a spark that just screams

Feeling guilt about missing work due to being sick for a week is such a specifically American mind fuck.

BL’AST! is very good cleaning the whole damn house music.

Today marks 4 years, no booze for your ol’ friend Pat 🥰

OK, we are allowing Jello Biafra just one “I told you so.”

LMAO at that commercial where the mom dangles her flimsy paper plate over her child’s diorama and then proceeds to spill Mexican lasagna all over it 🤣

Any music writers out there wanna uhhhh hear a record?

Why can’t Connecticut be a 20 min drive from Philadelphia so I can watch old Farrelly Brothers movies and geek out about obscure mod records with @perennialtheband.bsky.social any time I want?

Listening to CCR as self care and improvement.

Has every single part of our society been podcast-ified? I can’t really explain it, but everything has a real dude-bro on a couch behind a mic “just telling it like it is” kind of energy to it.

Can’t get over how good this Matt Berry record is. I had been keeping his music at an arms length to preserve how much I adore him, but damn, this is some heavy shit. Excited to dig in on his other records. mattberry.bandcamp.com/album/the-bl...

It’s really convenient that two of the best movies are both titled ELECTION.

My favorite film genres, a current ranking (subject to change): 1.) Slice of life, working class dramedy 2.) Stylish Yakuza shoot ‘em ups 3.) Rock Docs (any and all) 4.) Practical effects galore horror 5.) Slow-burn sci-fi that hits a little too close.

“Live, Laugh, Chill, Indie Rock” You know it when you see it.

I seriously can’t wait for the day when I can annoy you all about this new record.

RIP Rick Buckler. The Jam are in many ways the blueprint of what I want to strive for musically. Their bravery, musicality and heart always set them apart from their peers and I held out hope that they would play together again. Go listen to any of their records if you are unfamiliar with them.

I’m in bed, sick as a dang dog that’s feeling under the weather. Ask me a music or movie question.

Again for the cheap seats, why was The Blue Nile not one of the biggest bands ever? m.youtube.com/watch?v=7KI0...

I hope to write a song this good some day m.youtube.com/watch?v=Kaae...
