I told Mom I was a girl at age 3. It was 1950 and didn’t go well. Came out as gay in ‘67. Acted out my femme, but it wasn’t authentic. Finally ttansitioned in 90. Lesbian on the other side. Happiness began then. Have wife and community. I love happy endings.
