If anyone wants a good book that will completely lay to rest any doubt that political people in DC all hang out with each other and the parties barely matter, This Town: Two Parties and a Funeral is solid. It was written during the Tea Party era but it gives you a nice tour under the hood.

Maybe it's cause I've read enough about the tactics used to split up the coalitions forming in the New Left era of the 60s, but it would behoove trans women to start thinking about how feds can and will use COINTELPRO to divide the community & their most winning tactic is amplifying white racism.

More importantly for the temperature of the room — you do not need to be on any list you’re not required to. Take a note from 1940’s Nazi Germany, or from 1950’s McCarthy and the Un American Committee which spawned the crack downs fought at Stonewall. You should not needlessly “list” yourself.

I honestly hope that if people hear this coming from me then maybe it will sink in you DO NOT need to get arrested. We live in a surveillance state, an arrest now does not carry the same consequences as arrests in ‘68. The state is violent & will escalate on you. You should avoid arrest if possible
