I’m grateful @governor.pa.gov and his family are safe after a terrible attack — which was particularly horrific for a Jewish family on the first night of Passover. Hate and violence have no place in our country.

I work in marketing and marketing psychology. And people make decisions based on emotion, not logic. Then they seek out sources that back up those emotional decisions. With access to endless viewpoints online, it's easy to find SOMEONE who will provide the "logic" for ANY emotional decision

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

Anyone emphasizing the need to "reach across the aisle" or "find common ground" right now is really saying "my privilege protects me from the danger you are facing", whether they know that or not. The inability to be self-aware by most people in power right now is so demoralizing to so many of us.
