Happily married cat-slave, mum to two wonderful people, vehemently anti-Brexit & heartily sick of corruption in politics & the greed in all sectors. City girl all my life but now love the Somerset countryside. More good books please.

if you change the name on a CV from a man to a woman's name, recruiters immediately rate it as 18% less competent. they don't stop to check gametes/wombs. pretending all sexism is rooted in a particular biology leaves us with no way to talk about systemic bias against female intellect & ambition.

Laughed out loud at these extracts from ‘Digging to America’ by Anne Tyler, a favourite author. Read the first bit to husband but he didn’t really get why I found it funny. Partly the irony because I am the grammar fiend in our household! 😂📚

We must be inclusive. I understand gender-critical views especially from older women who experienced (and continue to experience) misogyny, sexism & discrimination. We must be able to talk about this & accept that rights can be at odds. HOWEVER, this ruling is nightmarish & is going to cause 2/

Even though Reform are not winning local elections, we can’t be complacent, as MSM give them SO MUCH unwarranted airtime 😡 #Vote4Democracy

Been a busy, busy week for both OH and me. Finished off Good Friday Eve with a pleasant walk around the village, delivering the last of c250 newsletters. We have now polished off a whole bottle of SB with a light supper - a very rare occurrence indeed! Have a lovely evening all! 🥂🍾

I will never understand how a group of bigoted women go all out to destroy the rights of a tiny, marginalised group of predominantly harmless women instead of using their centuries of built up rage to actively destroy the patriarchy and the actual men who do us real harm.

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.

A movie that takes place where you’re from 😄

As a feminist and woman who has experienced sexism & sex discrimin at work, I completely get gender-critical views. HOWEVER, I am so saddened about this ruling. It will make life incredibly difficult for a tiny number of people who just want to live a quiet life. Yes there are a tiny number of /2

Nigel Farage has told ITV News the first thing he would do as prime minister if he won a general election would be to remove the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights That alone is good reason never to vote for Reform UK. THIS IS WHY youtu.be/MdiDDJrQUJA?...

Why are we not talking about the most popular party leader? eastangliabylines.co.uk/politics/why...

We must make our stand here.
