I've heard much about DuckDB recently and finally took a look myself. Simple benchmark, simulated 100M rows and used base R, dplyr, and #DuckDB (and duckplyr) in #Rstats to calculate a grouped mean. DuckDB did this in a fraction of the time (~3 seconds). blog.stephenturner.us/p/duckdb-vs-...
