I don't want to hear "we can't afford it" one more time from Labour. Not while they continue to reinforce their Brexit red lines. The amount of money being left on the table by not seeking to rejoin the EU is eye-watering. The tax lost to Brexit would have paid for everything Labour needed.

Who is against these policies? Are people so far gone that they prefer their taxes pay for corporate welfare and massive pointless bombs over education and transportation?

This country is thoroughly screwed for at least a generation. People haven't taken stock of how much damage has already been done. 2026 and 2028 won't magically fix this. It's going to be a long walk.

"Whenever one person stands up and says: 'Wait a second, this is wrong,' it helps other people to do the same."

If you’re on the cover of @bylinetimes.bsky.social it usually means uncomfortable critique. This month it’s Mark Zuckerberg’s turn for scrutiny by @hardeepmatharu.bsky.social for his role in Alien-nation.

Rinehart says net zero is "magic pudding," and only those who want to cut emissions should pay | RenewEconomy share.google/SQHcFaTYbfAX.... #Auspol Born into wealth, self entitled and Australia's richest women would rather destroy the planet than pay Taxes and help fight climate change.

Let’s be absolutely clear. This decision, based on fringe conspiracy theories, will kill children. www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

An addled president is shredding the Constitution to usher in white nationalism and fascism while destroying the economy and our health care, so if you’re going to write an alarmist op-ed because a mayoral candidate might open five (5) city-run grocery stores, you can kindly get bent.

Labour will lose the 2029 GE. And that loss will in turn lose them future GEs. Image how furious voters will be at Labour for ushering in Reform when a different future would have been possible if Labour had only made better choices. (Think LibDems and tuition fees, only raised to the Nth power.)

Very few people, when discussing the cost of living and how it's evolved over the decades, mention the fact that 50 years ago it was common for only one parent to work and now it's much more usual for both to work, yet what they can buy has if anything gone down despite two salaries rather than one.

Labour have played their first year very badly. Voters were at their most attentive after the GE. The end of 14 painful Tory years, and the novelty of a Labour government. Even people with no interest in politics paid a little attention. But Labour used that time to paint a hugely negative image.

Men try convincing the world that women are the emotional ones but who are the one’s who lose their minds when they are rejected, start wars and contribute to the mass majority of violence and crime? Pretty emotional if you ask me.

IPAN's open letter urges the Australian Government to not allow the US to use our territories or facilities to contribute to Israel and the US waging wars on Iran and Gaza. Pine Gap, North West Cape, air-refuelling facilities, airfields and ports. You can add your name. ...

Hitting the 🔨 on the nail!!!!

#Auspol The world needs to bring back a version of the yellow vaccination book to get a Visa. We must do our best to protect our kids. If people need boosters because they no longer have proof, so be it.

You know, Europe has lots of Democratic Socialists in their parliaments. Oh and free national healthcare.

Hegseth is exhibiting his "angry drunk" (Alcoholic Rage Syndrome) and/or Intermittent Explosive Disorder on the world stage. Is this an embarrassing for the US? 100% – But infinitely more important is that, as the American Secretary of Defense, his behavior and mindset brings us closer to war.

A secret, never-mentioned fact is that the people who voted for Zohran are also taxpayers. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

I understand sugar coating isn’t useful, but I reckon positive stories like this do make a difference. Humans need to be seen. We need encouragement and hope. Kids doing the job our politicians won’t. #AusPol

Australia could have linked up with this revolution, but we were too timid and too stuck in the past. #AusPol

The Vera C. Rubin Observatory, Chile, recently released its first images of the cosmos/deep space. Vera Rubin (1928-2016) was a pioneering US astronomer whose work provided convincing evidence for the existence of unseen "dark" matter in the Universe #WomensArt

he's right and he's right to say it

We expect to see hard won public health progress questioned and even undermined at tomorrow’s ACIP. But since the beginning of time, scientific progress has continued through disbelief, ridicule, and setbacks. RFKJ and his like may have power now. But they will not hold us back forever Goodnight 💚

Goodnight Everyone 🌛✨💫 Sweet Dreams 🫶

He came from a fake boardroom, ran a fake charity, a fake university, faked his net worth, faked Time magazine covers, lied about crowd sizes, and ran on a fake law and order stance. Now we’re stuck in the rerun of a rigged reality show.

“Eighty per cent of the things that are said, or are written, or are accepted as a normal part of the discourse in today’s Britain are things that [before Brexit] would have been totally unacceptable, totally ridiculous, totally shameful" www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

Our current President is a traitorous, convicted felon, and a court-adjudicated rapist who lacks the intelligence, character, decency, and cognitive ability to lead. His presence is doing us irreparable harm. We should not normalize him, but normalize stating the truth about him.

It continues to be a complete disgrace that the orange convicted felon is at the NATO summit in The Hague when he should be in prison for sedition as well as the fact that he has been trying to weaken and destroy the NATO alliance from the beginning. It’s disgusting.

Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security.    Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.   Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people. —Harry Truman, 1952

Thanks for your vote of confidence…I guess?! Unlike you, I’d actually be focused on the American people—the issues they’re facing, making sure folks have healthcare, and consulting with Congress before dropping bombs on another country.

Folks can argue about the relevancy of the “Democratic socialist” label all day. But if that’s what you’re hung up on, you’re missing the larger point. People aren’t chasing labels. They’re chasing change. Real, structural, unapologetic change. 🧵

Let’s stop the wars and I mean ALL of them,,, it’s horrible and I hate what’s going on! This is not what unity is all about!!

It’s 2025 and we can’t vaccinate children. Our grandchildren will curse us.

Whose shrapnel?? When ABC runs stories about the starvation, thirst and suffering in Gaza, we still get these headlines that avoid the key fact: ISRAEL DID THIS. Are news editors *still* worried that they'll be monstered by the Israel lobby? #ThisIsNotJournalism www.abc.net.au/news/2025-06...

A majority of voters of ALL parties want electoral reform. Labour would be pushing against an open door. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Anti-vax conspiracy theorists are literally killing our children.

As I am a person with chronic illness, I am watching RFK, Jr. testify before the House Budget Committee. Listening to that man is like fingernails on a blackboard. He lies as he breathes. He has numerous health issues, that are obvious. He tries to defend the indefensible. Frankly embarrassing.
