Such a thoughtful piece. ‘What could be more colonizing than leap-frogging an individual’s power to create, making “creative tools” depend on databases of predigested thoughts and images?’ www.nataliailyin.net/blog/2025/2/...

With all the AI hype we are inundated with I believe it’s wise to read skeptics views. It helps us raise healthy questions, this piece raises a lot of questions that many are sweeping under the rug. www.wheresyoured.at/longcon/

it has to be a part of a product strategy… but it’s really annoying substack doesn’t have an API so that you can visually integrate a substack email form on a site.

how are you all storing photos? I wish I could simply send all photos to iCloud automatically and delete off my phone but that’s not how iCloud works 🙃

A new little practice I started to try and ‘slow down’—folding toilet paper whenever I’m in our bathroom. My wife is a big fan.

Obsessed! If you love design, type, & history read this. “You’re not supposed to fall in love with an ugly font.” “And I think I love Gorton because over the years I grew a little tired of the ultra flat displays rendering miniature pixels with immaculate precision.” aresluna.org/the-hardest-...

I think I might be one of those people who’s body naturally wakes up before 6am now 🫠

People who start things start with often start with nothing. A blog/newsletter starts with no posts or readers, a product with no orders or customers. It’s all about execution and follow through. Start something.

I just want to make rad things.

Control There is an idea in my bubble that running your own website is A Very Good Idea. I subscribe to the idea that running your own website is A Very Good Idea and will continue to help that along in my career. But there is a heaping helping of It Depends involved here. Perhaps the biggest…

There is a reason Apple doesn't make it easy to manage how exactly your photos are managed with deletion management actions... $ Money www.imkylelambert.com/articles/dig...

Apple’s iCloud experience feels like such a dark pattern. Pay for an iCloud subscription, but then it is extremely complicated to delete photos off your phone and keep them backed up to iCloud. Making people opt to buy phones with larger storage capabilities.

We haven’t seen the tool that will mainstream designers prototyping with AI, but we will. We need a visual refinement layer on top of tools like Cursor. A tool that can work like browsers element inspectors pinpointing UI refinement.

I wrote some UI copy with some help from Claude. I shared it with our content designer for feedback, he came up with something that was 5X better. AI is great, but there is no replacement for human touch, nuance, context, and craft.

This essay hits so hard. It’s long but good. Read this and tell me this isn’t your experience on the internet. “You are the victim of a con — one so pernicious that you’ve likely tuned it out despite the fact it’s part of almost every part of your life.” www.wheresyoured.at/never-forgiv...

A tech company’s relationship with you is transactional. You are a number on a spreadsheet. All that matters is if you perform, even then it’s no guarantee. If you perform but aren’t working on a revenue driver you are a negative number. Just a reminder with the new era we are walking into.

Bought this ball for my kid and it is the best toy I have purchased. We play with it all the time. It is essentially a balloon wrapped up in an extremely light shell.
