Many years ago I took my then-toddler to the post office to mail taxes on the 15th. I was doing parent prattle & he seemed confused when I said "Look at that big line!" After a few back & forths he opened his mouth wide & roared. He thought I'd said "Lion." Anyway, good luck if you are are in line

The lies they are telling about Garcia now are reminding me of the Comet Pizza fiasco of the first Trump administration. Except now the liars & people who believe the lies are actually in positions of leadership.

This is excellent. Liberals & conservatives have tried to do to Jackie Robinson what they've tried to do to Martin Luther King — to de-radicalize them. To turn them into comforting icons of the American way. But their words & deeds tell a different story.

Always fun to catch up on my goodreads posting. Of what I've read recently I would most highly recommend "There’s Always This Year: on Basketball and Ascension" by Hanif Abdurraqib. Just brilliant on Columbus, and if you knew about basketball you'd probably even like it more.
