It’s been a full week since the Palisaides fire started and it’s only 17% contained. Which means, of course, that our firefighters have been at it, with all that their job takes-for a week. Think about it. There should be a stronger word for “hero”.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is a disturbing story about bullying and ostracism. It’s also a parable about conditional acceptance. If it weren’t for that one foggy Xmas Eve, those other reindeer would have continued to treat Rudy like shit.
