My favorite #GeneHackman role. It's mind-boggling to see him in a NAKED CITY show from '63. Or THE INVADERS in 67. THE FRENCH CONNECTION: brilliant. PRIME CUT, POSEIDON ADVENTURE, SCARECROW, NIGHT MOVES even YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. Appears he was incapable of giving less than 100%. RIP Gene Hackman.

This miserable looking thing is one of my art brushes. Cannot begin to guess how long I’ve had it. I believe it's either Utrecht or Langnickel. But I still use this thing, in fact it's one of my go-to brushes, even with the dried acrylic clearly caked in the base of the bristles.

Happy to announce that I will be adapting the screenplay for DARK AND STORMY NIGHT to stage play format. I'll likely approach Concord Theatricals, licensing agent for several of my plays including Robin Hood, or may end up publishing it myself. I’ll be working on this over the next month or so.

Watching Mascot serial THE GALLOPING GHOST on @tcmtv.bsky.social. Villain is the great Theodore "Ted" Lorch (1873-1947) remembered today mostly as Three Stooges foil. Lorch has a wonderful theatricality. In disguise he's often so bent over he's at 90 degrees. His sinister laugh closes each chapter.
