Midwesterner living in Hollywood. Figuring out this BSky thing. I dig travel, film and commercial media gigs, science, politics, psychology, nature/animals, gaming, food. My DM's are turned off.

From now on "I don't do politics" means "I leave the growing mess unattended and pass it to future generations" and nothing else.

So when is Trump going to be arrested for treason? He just voted with Putin against our ally. I'm so fucking tired of this fresh hell.

Selfie. I’m sorry. But anyway, I did 15,500 steps and it killed me. I used to run up this. Now I just try to survive it. I’ll get it back. Gotta get a belly out of the way first.

I started this media company a year ago, with far more interest in adventure and good people than in soulless gigs. I am proud of my team. Here’s some of what we’ve shot.

Despite my exhaustion at the state of things, I still believe it's better to be labeled or hated now for speaking up than it is to live your life in a way where future generations will ask why you never did.

Another day of trying to find the high road, trying to see the good in people who actively sabotage any chances of a better tomorrow. And, while they beat our spirit down with a lead pipe, should we inflict any force in return it's "So much for tolerance LOL". Like playing tennis with a wall.

Things that never existed: Bigfoot Lochness monster your beliefs not effecting anyone else

They went from swearing there was a deep state to cheerleading for a deep state real god damn quick

At one time we had George Carlin, Chris Hitchens, and Carl Sagan. Now we have Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, and Elon Musk. At a quick glance it's more of the same, but a closer look is needed. The new batch isn't just a "little" different from the old one, it's everything the old guard warned us about

One party too often tells men we're inherently awful, the other tells us to embrace our inner cave man but at the cost of our souls. Truth is, there are many of us. You need our vote to win. You have mine, but my friends aren't so easy. The tone may have to change but they'll come to you if you try.

Too long for Bluesky but this is how I’m seeing things lately.

Got back to LA last night after weeks away. A little ash on my bathroom counter from open window but otherwise nothing. Could have been worse.

That’s the right message Michael. Ditto.

I revisited Skyrim recently, but used mods. These companions, created by gamers, are fully voiced, interact with each other by name, and breathed new life into an RPG I thought felt lonely. Feels like BioWare Skyrim. 10/10

2020

For real.

RIP to baseball legend Bob Uecker

We are on the ground in Pasadena providing free In-N-Out Burgers, free drinks, and other free food to first responders and those affected by the fires!

Read this if you want to restore your faith in humanity: this is Ukrainian community in Los Angeles, serving homemade Ukrainian food today to those affected by LA fires because Ukrainians know what it’s like to go through hell. And that some borscht and varenyky always help, even if a little bit💙💛

My buddies in Pacific Palisades lost everything. Their friends lost everything. Two of them rode through their town, taking pictures of the devastation. It's beyond surreal. My place in Hollywood is safe for all who've asked. It was contained before it crossed Sunset. Still, an absolute nightmare.

A friend lost her house in the Palisades fires. Just told me. Gladstones Malibu is waiting for updates. Texting now. My apartment is in Hollywood. I'm told by friends there that we're safe. We lost power but it's back on. This is wild. This country has been through enough, man.

I thought posting that I’m okay was overkill but I continue to receive messages. I’m safe and my place is safe. I appreciate people asking. I’m in the Carolinas right now, working on edits. Unfortunately, many of my LA friends are not doing so great.

I always say the way to challenge a conspiracy theory is to get the theorist to look at how many of their old theories turned out to be untrue. Juuuuuuust kidding, reason doesn’t work and there’s zero point in trying to reach them.

Meet Frank. He’s 2 months old.

this actually profound, although as a former cult member, I was persuaded by people gently speaking to me in respectful ways. fascinating, nonetheless.

I just followed a million people when I made an account here. I’ve been on other socials but this felt like a new crowd. Like my friends weren’t here and it was all strangers. I do get way too many porn bots and spam accounts, but on the up side I’ve met some really cool/intelligent folks too.

“What is it you most dislike? Stupidity, especially in its nastiest forms of racism and superstition.” Man do I miss Christopher Hitchens

I don't know whether I'm being unrealistic or not, but as we wrap up our current commercial shoot I've been thinking about how an adventure would be good for the next one. I've been looking at commercial fishing companies in Alaska. Having my crew film them in action would be epic.

My close friend in Mexico (TJ and GDL) was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer late 2023. Literally a year ago we were hanging out at an Airbnb and having a blast. No signs he was sick at all. Still doesn't seem real. He can't really afford treatments so I helped him with this. Thanks friends.
